JoJo Should Have Fought Valentina Instead Of Chookagian

JoJo is a regional champ in some 2nd rate kickboxing & Muay Thai organizations. Both Joanna & Valentina are multiple time world champions in the premier organizations, and Valentina is the best of our generation and won everything there is to be won. The skill level difference is about as bad as Mayweather vs. McGregor, except you've just thrown him in there against a prime 30 year old Floyd instead of the 40 year old version who rolled out of bed and barely trained.

Calderwood is completely outmatched. Everywhere. There's a huge gap in skill, athleticism, fight smarts, and well, everything. A fighter who lost her way out of 115 vs one who arguably beat Nunes at 135, that's only gonna end one way.

Well JoJo has a cuter voice

That was at Strawweight. JoJo was way too big for that division and missed weight. Flyweight is the perfect division for her. Also, she started working on her BJJ when she moved up a division and has improved in leaps and bounds.
What hell is wrong with you? JoJo lost stand up vs Cavillo and she didn't improve, she is slow af.

Are we going to pretend now this didn't happened?

I love JoJo, but I can't see her beating Shevchenko, tbh.

Yeah, but I think she'll do more than Val's last opponents. Chookagian kicked air for two rounds then got murdered on the mat.

Who do you want val to fight next? At this point I wouldn't even be mad if she did a GSP and took a three year vacation until an interesting fight popped up for her.

I agree that the skill level is very different, but at least JoJo has a Muay Thai background and can check leg kicks, which most of Valentina's other opponents can't do. I don't know if she can win, but I think JoJo will be a tougher test for Valentina than Eye and Chookagian.

The Cavillo fight is actually the fight where JoJo missed weight. Like I said, JoJo was too big for that division.

Nah, Jojo would've gotten killed in there ...best it was Chookagian

Anyone and everyone. Rule over her division and make everyone else look 2nd rate the way GSP did.

I don't think Chookagian even deserved to fight Valentina IMO. I think JoJo clearly beat her, but she was robbed; probably for showboating towards the end of the fight.

I'd like to see JoJo fight Shevchenko next. JoJo is a beast at Flyweight; I don't know if she can beat Valentina, but I think she could make it a competitive fight.

lmfao at jojo being competitive with shev.

At this point is almost anyone with courage to sign for it, similar to Prime Ronda time where they kept scraping the bottom of the barrel until Holm happened, who wasnt even that top contender but Ronda called her out.

Than who would be next in that division?
Yeah, JoJo is the logical choice. She probably doesn't have a chance, but you cant just bench a champ for year until you find a new contender. Just let Val destroy people and build her resume.

They're second rate whether she makes them look that way or not, but if she's going to keep being active at 125, then I guess this JoJo fight has a very strong chance of happening.
