Steveson was on the Rogan podcast this week and he already seems pretty confident he can be Champ right now.

Joe asked him if he wanted to build up his experience with some fights outside UFC for a while but Steveson said he's ready and to put him on the White House card.

Even someone like Almeida would give him the kind of grappling looks he's never seen before in a live fight.

Steveson himself was saying on the JRE that he thinks he's ready for the top heavyweights now.

It's very impressive that, at 5'4" 285 rehydrated lbs., Steveson can jump over the top rope in some ring setups. Other than that, he has no relevant experience beyond his wrestling pedigree. Maybe that's enough to make him elite at UFC HW, but even now the division probably isn't quite that thin.
