After Successful MMA Debut, Gable Steveson to Headline Dirty Boxing 4 on Oct. 30

I'm just curious....he's had 1 fight and no martial arts background. He spent the last few years training to be a pro wrestler.

Who should he be facing where it's not considered "padding his record"?
The type of guys 1-0 fighters face...unknowns with similar records, some 0-0 guy, someone with a few fights and not exactly a dangerous 4-0 prospect like him, he has no "martial arts background", but he is a wrestling medalist, thats as good of a background as someone can get, its a GREAT base to transition to MMA.

In DBX he is going to face a cab driver like Romero did, the worst part is if that guy lands the lucky punch in a sport he had no business going into, despite being a "similar" game or something a lot of MMA names do.

@Slapjit this disparagement cannot stand
Arre yaar sometimes casual they think he look but the training rigor is not apparent

Waist is strong but defence it is not. 10 year dangal experience still cannot he do proper brace ji

😬💥😴🙅🏿‍♂️

If this STEM job or slap dangal maybe he demoted to langar duties 👳🏼🥘

Strange move. Stick to actual mma. I dont think a win would count towards his mma record. I don't think this guy is actually that arsed about a mma career.

WTF is with that stomach??
The updated picture is even worse. So bad that they strategically covered his stomach and he still looks like Bigger Country

Well the rules allow for gnp and thats how he won his debut fight. His gnp looked good. He picked his shots with both elbows and punches. He made them count.

Yeah, he looked great, nasty GnP he has. Difference here though, he has to strike with his opponent and drop him with punches to get the GnP. He cannot use his wrestling to get it to the ground.

I have to be honest I've never watched this shit so not even sure about what the rules are. Anyway if its a one off to make a decent payday, get another fight, work on his hands and then back to LFA or whatever then cool. But he should stick to LFA for the next year and fight every other month and just smash dudes and get experience and debut in UFC on white house card.

If I was his coach or agent I'd recommend a low level boxing fight over something like this and I mean literally an Amature fight .. It just seems like one of those things that can get a newbie knocked out when he could just be learning to take guys down immediately in mma like Brock did, Khabib did, Khamzat does, Chael did, Ben Askren did, Maia kinda did.. it works... you really don't have to get that good at striking just good enough to not get knocked out quickly.

Both Gable and Denzel Freeman were in WWE. Denzel just proved he can do mma Gable still proving it.. he needs to show he can do stand up. Denzel Freeman just signed to UFC.
