Say if Jiri beats Glover in the rematch and than Poatan goes up weight and challenges Jiri to avenge the loss of his mentor. Who takes this?

This fight could go either way, it's a toss up. Regardless, I think this would be a very entertaining fight.

I like both but Jiri was on skates vs tex. Alex could ko a horse.

Gonna go with Poatan even though i like Jiri as well. I just feel like Pereira is going to be able to land that one punch that wins the match. One thing for sure is it would be a fun match up.

Agreed. I like both. Alex was very powerful. I think if Glover put Jiri on skates, likely, Alex will stop him.

Alex is rockable as he is strong, I think Jiri puts it on him harder than Alex puts it on anyone else and gets the finish. Add takedowns to that and I'm sure. Jiri is much stronger and bigger than Izzy.

Jiri. He's too big and strong, along with the grappling chops to manhandle Alex. Would be interesting however long it's on the feet though.

Adesanya had Pereira out on his feet. If Jiri connects, he will put his lights out. Genuine 50/50 here I think.
both have KO power to end it quite fast........... Alex is a more experienced stand up fighter but Jiri can have the TD threat. Im with you for the 50/50. Or just maybe 51/49 to Alex, cause his timing is from another world. Jiri striking defense is far inferior to Izzy.

According to Glover, Alex hits a lot harder then Jiri.

Of course, he is his friend and teammate so it is expected for him to say that.

Looking at that fight though (Glover vs Jiri), it makes me like Alex's chances since I believe he would find Jiri's chin quite easily.

I like Jiri's style, but Pereira is a far better technical striker is a huge guy and packs as much power as him. I just can't see how Jiri wins this.

I love Jiri, but he seems hell bent on losing somehow.

He'd probably ignore wrestling and get knocked out.

Alex would land eventually clean and more technical imo, I see Alex winning even though I like what Jiri has brought to the LHW division.

Izzy got sent to the woodshed when he went up to 205 and Alex is a slightly better version of Izzy.

Would love to be able to bet on this fight.

The Fans Win!!!!!

Although ultimately, if we're honest, let's admit we'd all be better off if Jiri would lose..........the haircut.

Kyshenko is banned from kickboxing until 2023 for PED use; worth remembering.
Snap!!! I did not know that - thanks, adds up, dude looked a little too hyped.

I think Jiri is just too wild on the feet. I still see it as a 50/50 fight, but someone is getting finished. Also, some people seem to be ignoring the fact that Jiri has been hurt badly by every single person he has fought in the UFC. As much as I like Jiri, it's really only a matter of time until he gets brutally KOd by someone, and Alex seems to be the perfect person to do that.

Dont know - Pereira. Jiri was too sloppy everywhere against Texeira, that wont fly with Pereira's striking imo.

Going with Jiri on this one. People might be delusional on this one.

Jiri would be a sizable favourite. The threat of Pereira's striking diminishes significantly when he's moving back and it'll be more than likely that Jiri will pressure him especially since Pereira doesn't offer any threat of takedown. If that happens, you can forget his past kickboxing credentials and his showings against Izzy because I don't think he'll be landing much until Jiri gasses out in the later rounds. Problem with that is, Jiri's conditioning is solid and I think he can get Alex out of there early.
