He's defending your constitutional rights in that comment. What other rights are you willing to give up?
The left really abused their "Aaaah freedom of speech doesn't mean your company can't fire you" line of argument, purposefully mounting pressure and trying to force companies' hands when they didn't like someone's opinion. They did this systematically. Now, they're getting the same thing done to them and crying like little bitches. I really have no sympathy for them, in that sense. Fuck 'em.
As for Kimmel, he is a massive unfunny hack, and was spreading misinformation. He was engaging in the same hacky partisanship he was criticizing, and on top of that, he was wrong.
With all this said, speech should be protected, unless it's some explicit call for violence, or something serious like that. What the FCC did by meddling in this was authoritarian bullshit, and it can't be condoned.
That's not what he said though. Read it again. That's one thing to defend the constitutional rights. But to say that comment that gun deaths are needed to hold up the second amendment is extreme imo.
But the second amendment is dated and should be revised I believe. But that's for another topic / thread.
He spread the CT that the shooter was MAGA and made him out to be a victim of MAGA propaganda. Then said people were overreacting because Jan6 was a thing.
Divisive lies. ABC was right to drop him.
By talking about the shooter?
There is no zinger here or dancing on the grave..
"The Maga Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said"
Where is the zinger? Where is the dancing?
All I see is a shit opinion, and thats it.
I remember when Americans claimed US is great because free speech.
Not that you ever had it but still...
How time has changed
That's not what he said though. Read it again.
Kimmel said: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the Maga gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”Where did he say that the shooter was MAGA? Quote?
No, he said deaths are "inevitable". He didn't say they were "needed".He did say that. I was just paraphrasing.
No, he said deaths are "inevitable". He didn't say they were "needed".
He's defending your constitutional rights in that comment. What other rights are you willing to give up?
Have you noticed that I only started engaging with you after you become a mod?
I had you on ignore for years but Sherdog doesn't let you ignore mods, and you post so much ignorant rubbish it's difficult to avoid calling you out.
Over the past few weeks I've asked you several simple, straightforward questions where the truth is obvious but you haven't had the integrity or intellectual horsepower to answer.
You must know on some level that all this moral outrage about liberal violence and rhetoric is bullshit, and that Trump is using it to smash the opposition. And you're not only fine with it, you're loving it.
No, he said deaths are "inevitable". He didn't say they were "needed".
I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year,
Too early? You do know there's a meme thread here right? You mean it's too early to joke or meme about this guy cos you like him, but fuck your feelings if it's someone you don't..
he did not say "he didnt mind seeing some gun deaths every year".Was Charlie Kirk innocent? He did say he doesn't mind seeing some gun deaths every year so we can have the second amendment. And those comments came back to haunt him.
Anyone with half a brain should be terrified at this development. Its no surprise that the usual suspects I always suspected of having less than half a brain are applauding it.
he did not say "he didnt mind seeing some gun deaths every year".
He said: "I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights"....
He then went on to compare it to automobile deaths saying nobody would argue to give up vehicles to save 50K people a year because it was worth the trade off. He then went into how we need to find other ways to prevent gun deaths such as armed school guards and having fathers in the homes.
By all means crap on what he said if you like. But at least represent what he said correctly. Ive seen this out of context or misquoting stuff a ton surrounding his past quotes.
First Colbert, now Kimmel.
Who's next, America?!
Land of the free?
ha!
