I'm pretty sure she is expierencing loss of livelihood because she attacked the livelihood (ad revenue) of an NFL team. ESPN obviously has a vested interest in maintaining a good relationship with the NFL.

What drew my attention here was @LogicalInsanity's claim that she should have been fired for expressing her view about Trump.

I was out of town this weekend so I figured that ESPN was really slow on the trigger suspending her, now I found out she stuck her foot in her mouth once again. She doesn't get good ratings, she's been on failed show after failed show, and she's a novice at best when it comes to sports knowledge. And this is now what the 4th or 5th moronic inflammatory thing she's said? If she wasn't a black woman she would have been fired long ago. ESPN has fired white and black men with much higher qualifications for less than what she's done.

Well I think the reason they didn't is the same reason they didn't fire her.... people have the right to express their speech. But if the speech conflicts with conduct they should be afforded proper warning in most cases.
