I've only been through one and I was warned by the opposing lawyer and my lawyer I was out of line continously. Fucker even threatened to call the cops on me and I told him I'd love to see SFPD show up and listen to his babble. But my lawyer told me to settle down but also threatened the other lawyer to settle down or it was over.

They had a talk about decorum because the opposing lawyer was being a shit too. And then we resumed.

That's my experience.

Lawyers are very careful to be non antagonistic. That's a big part of dealing with sensitive issues. If a lawyer starts out like this guy did, I think they can easily cry "non professional" and walk out.

Doesnt mean the depo was never completed. But may mean that lawyer was replaced.

But I'm not a lawyer

Threatened to call the cops?? I've seen attorneys threaten, or call, the judge in the case, but I have no idea why one would threaten to call the cops. Doesn't make any sense.

It was a bizarre deposition. The lawyer was antagonistic. I was a young asshole. He threatened that several times.

Is it an empty threat? He didnt do it. I laughed in his face and dared him.

Where are the sherdog lawyers I need someone to explain "deposition" for me. When are they done? What are their purpose? Do you have to participate?

My theory is the guards were paid to allow Epstein to be murdered

They put him in a cell with a big MFer knowing how :eek::eek::eek::eek:s are treated in prison..

The cameras malfunctioned around the time of his death..

Guards were asleep around the time of his death

Guards weren't checking on him like they should have done

Epstein was put in general population instead of protective custody where all the other weaker inmates go

The guards were in on it 100%

They need to be investigated. Their bank accounts need to be investigated now and in the near future. Those guards need to be watched to see if they made any or will make any big purchases such as houses or fancy cars..

I fully believe someone got to the guards, told them that they could be made rich if they put Epstein in a position where he could be killed..
Well, officially Epstein's cellmate had been removed and wasn't replaced. Seems more likely than trusting some random scumbag to do the job right, that they just brought in a few pros who strangled him and made it look like suicide, reportedly while saying "breathe, Epstein. Breathe!"

A deposition is part of the discovery process after litigation starts. It's generally done to preserve, and elicit, testimony that can be used in trial. You almost always have to 'participate' because in all likelihood you'll be issued a subpoena. Generally, depositions are taken by both sides so that no surprises arise from witnesses at trial.

@panamaican
@Trotsky

Only Sherdog lawyers I know offhand, but there's probably more on here that other people could tag. IIRC, Trotsky is a criminal defense attorney while Pan is more of a corporate lawyer. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I really don't know what law enforcement would, or could, do. If a deponent is being completely ridiculous or argumentative, an attorney will typically threaten to call the judge (in my experience) and explain what is occurring. Sounds very bizarre.

It was for a traffic accident that eventually went through arbitration. I was the suing party. Depo lasted over 3 hours. It was absurd.

But the whole point of bringing this stupid partnof my life up is my experience watching these lawyers talk about decorum and then resume.

My only guess is that the (I'm assuming) insurance hired attorney was attempting to intimidate you. Forsooth, most court reporters in the business for a while have seen some weird stuff, haha.

I actually saw that lawyer years later in the filing lines at Superior with a client and I said "You're in good hands. This guy is a son of a bitch" And I could tell he couldn't quite place me but he smiled.

Dont you have to pay lawyers per hour?

Could those guys be colluding to extract more money from the people they're repping? 3 hours sounds like extortion. I'd be pissed

My lawyer got a % of the final judgement.

That other lawyer was clearly milking it. Chick in the car was rich.

Vast majority of plaintiff's attorneys in personal injury cases charge a contingency fee. Usually 33% of any recovery before litigation and 40% once it starts.

@TheBlondBomber

Schooled by SCOTUS Justice Thomas himself

Haha I wouldn’t say that. He visited my law school for a week (at the behest of one of his former law clerks who was a professor) and taught a 2 hour per day course on SCOTUS precedent and history with the only multiple choice exam I took in law school. Essentially it cost around $3000 in tuition to listen to him speak for a week and get credit for it.

Anyways, back on track; this is definitely a Trump coverup/protection operation.

There's a really in depth interview with investigative journalist Whitney Webb about Epstein's ties to intelligence, as well as Donald Barr's ties to intelligence. She makes a strong case that Epstein was part of a preexisting intelligence operation involving sexual blackmail that Barr was a part of when he worked for the OSS (predecessor of the CIA). Definitely worth a watch:

What if they knew he wanted to kill himself, and they made sure he had the means and opportunity to do so? SOmething not considered uncommon when it comes to :eek::eek::eek::eek:philes and what is called Prison Justice.

What do you think the Medical Examiners report would should when he did the act? And does that go against the core of the conspiracy theories?

I ask not because I have any info on what happened but rather because people seem to be jumping to draw conclusions you cannot from this M.E. report.

It was announced from the start that he committed suicide and the question was ALWAYS, how and why. Now the M.E. says 'he committed suicide' it seems many are saying 'see, proof is in. Case closed'.

We still do not know 'HOW and WHY'???

One thing someone said who has been to that prison many times is that the sheets are so thin that it is impossible to hang yourself with them. I would like to hear that addressed.
