Who names their sources? Journalists go to jail instead of doing it, see for example Judith Miller over your way and Goodwin over here.

If you can't name a source it's certainly only a rumour and not "official" in any capacity.
Michael Coudrey isn't a journalist.

I looked, and the only confirmed "source" is a tweet by Michael Coudrey.
He won't provide an actual source.

Really? How do you know?
He was put on suicide watch almost 3 weeks ago and supposedly came off a few days ago. When do they get their bedding/clothes back?

When a psychologist says they aren't a danger to themselves anymore.

They remove these things from prisoners all the time. Sometimes as just a arbitrary punishment, for talking back, or threatening a guard. No protocol for the return.

However, when you attempt to commit suicide it requires a psychologist to sign off saying you aren't a threat to yourself anymore.

Yes, and the psych and warden would have had to sign off in order to get him off suicide watch, that's already been stated.
They've also implied that given the high profile of the case, that decision might have gone higher.

Whose story? Provide an actual source.

Just making a note of this for the future.

If it comes back that the video surveillance was "acting up" during the time of Epstein's death, would you call it shady, or excuse it?

My understanding is that not all the cells have camera's recording the occupants, and only the corridor.
Supposedly he'd recently been moved out of suicide watch back to the Special Housing Unit (solitary).
According to the reports they typically don't keep them on suicide watch for extended periods in order to save on costs (which is bound to be the end of someone's job, hence the investigation). Apparently taking them off suicide watch requires the psych. and warden to sign off, and possibly higher ups in high profile cases like this.
I can't find a definitive answer on whether the SHUs are under surveillance (or Epstein's in particular).
Given who it was, that would be utterly ridiculous not to be using recording resources.

i remember watching the wire and some innocent guy was choked to death by a gang member in prison (from behind with a rope or belt. Much different marks on the neck then a hanging.

RIP D'Angelo Barksdale

and not Epstein. He's a jerk.

So the psych committed a crime because someone higher up told them to?

You do realize that would be a criminal offense right?

Of course it would be shady. That's not an excuse for mindlessly cut and pasting rumours without a source.
We live in the information age, if you can't evaluate information by now, you're effectively disabled.

I agree. I'm as skeptical as you are(because it sounds ridiculous).

Just making sure that you won't be giving any excuses, if indeed it does turn out that the story is "Faulty cameras" in the future. Like that happens all the time, or whatever...

Well you've got a lot of work to do, going through 26 pages and deleting all the posts that dont link to CNN and fox news. So I'd get to it, lest you want to be up all night clearing up any misconception.

Oh right i assumed he was just a journalist who had a sourced story but wasn't revealing it, that's common as hell.

At least one person's job is obviously on the line for this. Whether or not the decision went higher than the warden, and whether the psych eval was incompetent, will no doubt be the focus of the investigation.
Although having said that, there's been a lack of culpability in the cases I've seen it compared to.
