News Jason Mayhem Miller back in prison

Mma orgs should offer mental health treatment during and after a fighters career if they are not doing so already
Giving healthcare to employees is expensive. Most businesses would not do it if they were not strongly encouraged to do it. With the UFC, they have labelled their employees as "independent contractors." So, you can forget about lifetime healthcare coverage.

Fighters need to smarten up and get rid of that "independent contractor" categorization.

That is...alot of mugshots!

Mental illness may go into remission, but it's never completely gone. People suffering from addiction, depression, bipolar disorder, etc., will be battling those demons until the day they die. It can seem like they've gotten it together and turned it all around but shit like this will always be on the menu.

How was he out of prison in the first place? The guy needs medical help.

I hope he gets the help he needs

Seemed to be doing much better a few months ago when he was interviewed by Ariel

Wow, disappointing. I thought he had beaten his demons this time. :(

FTA:

As for his latest arrest, Miller (23-10, 1 NC) is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to one felony count of first-degree burglary, unlawful taking of a vehicle and grand theft auto. “Mayhem” is expected to appear before a judge on Sept. 2 in Newport Beach.

I love that his MMA record is included!

Exactly. Dude will never be free from his demons. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like he has a proper system to keep him safe from himself.

Last few interviews I saw he seemed to be getting things together, I can only speculate that he was on medication that was keeping him stable and went back to being self medicated... I’ve got a few friends from childhood that have bad similar issues, just had to keep my distance because running with them was always like playing felony roulette. It’s sad to see people who you know being self destructive like that, shitty odds to break the cycle...

Damn I thought he was back on the right path. Too bad man. He’ll either end up in jail or dead at this point. Unless he decides to get help.
