for sure, but I saw it malfunction live. It literally randomly fired an AA missile directly into a civilian area for no seeable reason. But I mean overall its interception rate is pretty crazy all things considered.
Yeah, I wouldn't read into that too much given it's probably a battery that's been in constant action for several months and maintenance probably hasn't been at the same level due to equipment and personal wearing out.

I think the son of an immigrant who grew up under a horrible authoritarian regime might know a little more about that experience than a Canadian Maga cosplayer.
What experience would that be? Daddy telling you stories of the the country he FLED? To America? The country you think isn't all that important? LOL. Ingrate.
But sure, go tell all the folks who fought for democracy in other countries that they were doing it wrong and should have just blown up the world instead being resilient and making their countries and the world a better place.
Who is fighting for democracy in Iran? The people they execute for not wearing a scarf?

People are generally good. Rulers, not so much. So you can have all your hippie dippy bullshit about having faith in people, and I'll live in reality, and judge countries by their rulers. No, I don't have any faith in Iran's leadership to possess a nuclear bomb.

This nutjob wants our people there so he can sacrifice them as a means to bring us into a war with Iran. He is about as hostile as it gets to the people of the US. Doing business with Israel as long as he's in charge is basically treason
It s his wet dream to see Americans die from an Iranian missile.

He hasn’t even been in office 6 months and the talk about the end of his presidency, impeachment, like come on space cadets, come back to orbit.

People act like the MAGA base isn’t at all in support of precision strikes like taking out Soleimani, or short term operations like taking out ISIS. He talked about it all the time at his rallies.

He just met with many powerful leaders in the region. They know trump, they know the Abraham accords. I trust Trump to finally bring peace to the Middle East.

Unfortunately he cannot do the same directly with Russia or China, as they have nukes. But Iran is a big part of their axis. Decimaring it helps Ukraine. So I do find it interesting there are pro Ukraine people that are also against this.

That being said, I do wish it is Israel that does all the kinetic action and we just posture with rhetoric. Will be better for trumps legacy in the long run

What do you think China does here with the stance it takes, and how much does Iran mean to the CCP? Those Chinese cargo planes (plural) that have been flying directly into Iranian airspace without another plane within 1,000 miles in any direction weren't carrying rice. I think they would've been very content to hold up and keep Iran in the fight as a supplier. The ever increasing likelihood of direct US involvement (a fucking disgrace if it comes to pass) drastically changes the entire dynamic of that, and the regime will be knocked over.
China doesn’t give a damn about Iran, but they would love for us to go to war with Iran. The more we commit to Iran the more realistic an invasion of Taiwan becomes.

I hope this administration is not stupid enough to waste a ton of munitions on Iran which really is not a direct threat.

First off I appreciate the parts of your post I did not quote because it was educational for me as someone who doesn’t know much about the subject.

Secondly, couldn’t They just get a missile capable of delivering a nuclear payload from a sympathetic nation capable of producing one?

What sympathetic nation is going to deliver a nuclear payload delivery system to Iran without risking overwhelming international pressure, sanctions and who knows what else?

Russia? No way - too busy in Ukraine and not able to. China? Not in their interest to. North Korea? Just no. No motive nor the ability to transport it there. Pakistan? Same as North Korea. Not worth the effort for them. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

If any nation tried it, the West would know. Iran is constantly being scanned 24/7.

On top of that, Israel has spies within the Iranian regime telling them a lot of shit. That is how they were able to pull off this initial attack so successfully. They planned this shit carefully with intelligence.

Well, that might have something to do with the "any time now for the last 30 years" thing. Perhaps they are being delayed every now and then? That train ain't gonna run forever.

Either way, I don't want those crazy motherfuckers having a nuclear bomb. Do you? It's gonna become a big problem in the next 50 years(probably way less) with many nations. I don't want to have more fingers on more buttons.

No but they weren't going for one. Complete fabrication by Israel that they were right on the precipice of getting one.

I prefer for the US not to get sucked into another Middle Eastern regime change war costing trillions.

Trump is going to bring peace to the middle east... By telling 12,000,000 innocent civilians to leave their home immediately because we are about to bomb the fuck out of Tehran. Just fucking LOL dude.

^ This response right here is how quickly the Trump crowd goes from "No new wars!" to "Trump can only bring peace to the Middle East by BOMBING IRAN!!" Absolutely mind boggling.

Not responding to that guy moving forward, he is hitting the bottle heavy when posting on here. Actually scary people like him exist and vote. Says Iran is waving the white flag while they bomb Israel for the 4th time in a week.
Yeah he s completely unhinged. I stopped replying to him

Yeah, that will end up very nicely indeed.
The US join forces with Israel and Russia, China, and North Korea join forces with Iran.
The United States is not going to fight a nuclear war with Russia and China over Isarel.

Iran is vital for China's energy security, they can't afford to have it fall and certainly not if the US is involved. They were the first ones to start pouring cargo planes into Iran after the initial strike and they haven't stopped. If there weren't any anti-ship missiles in the first planes there sure will be now, I'm betting they'll have whole systems plus the Chinese men to run them.

I think Xi will be making some phone calls to de-escalate the situation but if the shit hits the fan the missiles will be ready in Yemen and Iran. He's going to be his usual self and pretend he's doing his job as a responsible world leader in public, but behind the scenes he's going to be explaining things to Trump in harsh terms.

But will it be enough? To be clear, this is operating on the assumption that the US brings extraordinary assets to bear with boots on the ground and all the bullshit that comes with it. Imagine committing those levels of resources and manpower to fight another war in the Middle East to take out another government of a country that poses virtually zero threat to your own. A fucking disaster on so many levels, and another nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned. America is also in a considerably weaker position both in absolute terms and especially relative to the rest of the world than it was at the turn of the century when it went into Afghan and Iraq with tens of trillions in additional skyrocketing debt. The arrogance and hubris are just nuts. I'm heavy on patriotism (and I'm sure you've seen that in other posts); I am not big on arrogance and hubris. And on the patriotism front? What a blow. This entire proposition and possibility playing out in front of us makes me sick.

Oh to be so confidently ignorant lol. I suppose you think Aung San Suu Kyi was a coward for fleeing.
Who is fighting for democracy in Iran? The people they execute for not wearing a scarf?
Those and quiet a few others. Fighting for democracy doesn't assure it, hence I've pointed out the lack of promising prospects for regime change.
and I'll live in reality, and judge countries by their rulers. No, I don't have any faith in Iran's leadership to possess a nuclear bomb.
Well here's a reality for you. The military option you are so loudly advocating for will push Iran, and other countries, toward developing nuclear weapons sooner and more cleverly. Because they will interpret American and Israeli aggression as further evidence they must have a nuke to protect their sovereignty.

It's why of the only four cases of nuclear disarmament, a grand total of zero situations were resolved with military force. You have to bargain if you want any country, including Iran, to consider giving up nuclear ambitions.

Iran means a lot to the CCP because they’re a big supplier of cheap oil. A big chunk of belt and road is getting oil through land routes that won’t be blockaded the same way it can be through sea.

They also mean a lot in the sense that all the trashcanistan countries like Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, etc care about each other. That is to say that they’re all dictatorships that oppose the US, and they don’t want to see any bad precedents being set like forced regime change.

No comment on how or what China is doing to support them, though.

hopefully the Iranian public can get their hands on some Trump phones to call for support

He just met with many powerful leaders in the region. They know trump, they know the Abraham accords. I trust Trump to finally bring peace to the Middle East.
Yes, keep trusting the idiot who increased conflict in the region to bring peace to it. Yup, checks out. Not a cult at all.

It's crazy, I'm offended he said that shit. How can you watch that as an American and not feel like you are being used? also who the fuck says shit like that?

"America First, not America dead'

Have faith, just reading this thread, the vast majority are in on Israeli bullshit. If this thread is representative of American public opinion, Murrka should NOT get baited into this shit.

And all Israel has to do now is blow up some ships in the Straight of Hormuz.

Edit: this could be fake news, hoping it is.
