Yes, as discussed extensively, every country has its proxies and nasty people they use to annoy and hamstring their adversaries. We do, Israel does, Iran does, the Soviet did, etc.

Iran also sponsors terrorist attacks etc. They are a terrible regime.

Dealing with Irani means seeing them as what they are, a wannabe regional power with a despotic government that competes with Saudi Arabia and Israel. Seeing them as mustache twirling villains with illogical motivations doesn't help the US.

Its just that counting on them not to do something terrible if they thought it was right... yeah not so much.

I agree with nukes, yes, the fewer that have them usually the better. But in this instance, it wouldn't make Iran uncontrollable(setting aside the faulty premise that you can control other countries), it would put them at nuclear parity (sort of) with Israel if they can guarantee a second strike (deterrence comes from that, not a first strike).

You see Russia doing what they want. Its partially due to that threat. They already threaten those things.

The bigger issue would be what Saudi Arabia does if Iran goes nuclear, but again, you can't stop a country form getting nukes if they want them. All you can do is manage the situation with deterrence and diplomacy, the US and Israel have utterly failed at the second part.

Most countries would want them for security. Its the ultimate trump card.

If about war in Ukraine, obiviously North Korea and Belaris really will rack up supplies and Putin doesn't care about inflation etc noise.

Yes they are, but again, every power does this to varying degrees. Israel backs anti-Hamas terrorists, we armed Syrian terrorists, we armed Iran against Iraq (and vice versa), etc. It's not just that Iran is more despotic, but that much like suicide bombers, proxies are a poor country's foreign policy weapon.

And again, most of these proxies have been wiped out at this point.

You can usually count on totalitarian governments to be focused on one thing over all: regime preservation. No point in being corrupt if you're dead. And Iran has largely followed this model, they haven't tried to commit national suicide yet and likely won't if they had nukes. They might miscalculate however, but that must be weighed against the cost of a war to prevent them from obtaining nukes (aka what Israel wants).

Within nukes, Russia would have still invaded Ukraine. Nuclear weapons aren't that much use against non-nuclear powers because the international blow back would be ridiculous.

Depends. South Africa developed nuclear weapons with Israeli support because it wanted them as a bargaining chip, not because they seriously thought they might be invaded and wiped out.

Israeli developed its for national preservation, but they've been the most aggressive to date in using them to blackmail international countries into supporting them.
