The thing is.. this one was an US backed peace proposal. Trump was twitting about it being Hamas last chance. It was supposed to make Hamas give up its weapons and give all hostages back, they wouldnt have control of Gaza anymore and another palestine authorities would assume from there. Israel supposedly agreed to that proposition.



They were meeting to deal with it. Question is..did Israel used US or did US agreed with it proving it should not be trusted in any negotiation (as with Iran earlier this year)?

Qatar is a glorified US military base. You do realize both the US and Israel have a cozy relationship with them? Israel was helping get Qatari money directly to Hamas in Gaza for years. Syria's government was installed by US/Israel/Turkey. Iran fired a rocket at Qatar.

Hezbollah is what happened when Israel illegally invaded and occupied Southern Lebanon. Hamas is what happened when Israel brutally crushed the First Intifada in Gaza & the West Bank which was mostly peaceful. Fatah, Kataeb (Christian) Party of Lebanon, Saddat and even a piece of shit like Saddam Hussein have offered diplomatic cables to reduce tensions but Israel has always brushed them off and preferred occupation until attacked.

Hell, maybe we should reconsider our approach to the Middle East as well. In the cold war, we preferred siding with the Mullahs over the Secular Communists for oil/resource extraction and we saw how that turned out. Then in 2003 with the mountains of lsraeli lobbying, we launched an illegal war on Iraq and reaped the fruits of an ISIS uprising. 4,000 American Troops dead, 100k-200k Iraqi Civilians killed, millions displaced and we don't even have a Pro-West Government in Iraq now to justify it. It galvanized a lot of hatred of America and reduced our diplomatic legitmacy just for the sake of Israel's dominance in the region.

What are you basing this on? What has Qatar done that makes them not an ally or makes an act of betrayal against them justifiable?
