I'm not angry or judgemental about any of these people, nor am I saying how they should be. they come from a society that has been racist for thousands of years, I am not going to condemn someone because I think I am morally superior when in reality we are both products of our environment. They are racist, does that make them inherintely evil ? I don't think so. The important thing is be firm in your own beliefs and pass them onto to future generation. Call it like you see it, don't make excuses for anyone especially not yourself and I think you will see much more progress than any woke agenda has accomplished.
To me woke just means blind allegiance to a left wing ideology, it does't mean you are more aware of anything.
it is that you cannot accept that is not 'racist' for Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Whites, to have natural bias and that it leads you to label them so harshly, that makes you woke.
if you were on a woke university campus and it was an old italian speaking about how they just prefer Italian cinema or an Indian saying the same about bollywood, both you and most woke students would agree to citing them all as racist , etc while making zero room for it just being normal human nature and not this negative thing you need to believe it to be.
If i say to you right now, if you are making a sitcom targeted at Italians living in America and all other things being equal, you make sure you cast a few upcoming italian comedians in to parts, i guarantee you, you read that and get enraged believing it should NEVER matter or make a difference to italians who are targeted to watch. That equally skilled 'indians', 'chinese', etc in those roles should make no difference to italian viewership.
That rage you feel is woke rage. A rage you feel based on denial of how the world IS and instead of how you believe it should be.
It is not racism, as your lashing our replies have pushed, that sees more Indians, Chinese, Koreans, in their media, even if they could cast others. It is natural human preference.
