John Huber is suing Rittenhouse and the Wisconsin police for the death of his son. The lawsuit alleges that Rittenhouse conspired with law enforcement to harm protestors. Huber is seeking unspecified damages from city officials, officers and Rittenhouse.

I didnt say you couldnt make a career of it, just that I'm not sure it achieves very much electorally.

I think people like Sharpio going after collage students probably helps the right more because there viewed as "liberal elites" rather than "men off the street" plus I think the right benefits from having an anti establishment candidate who can feed off of public anger far more than establishment dems can.

The problem as well debate wise is that the establishment dems have so little to offer that they can only focus on attacks, if someone like Sanders was running for office you could potentially do debates were voters who are more undecided but maybe mildly Trump can be basically shown he doesnt have their interests at heart and that progressives have far more to offer them.

I never liked the whole "own college students" schtick either. Not just because it offers nothing of any real value, but I refuse to believe that in all these sessions there isn't actually people that bring a decent, worthwhile conversation to be had and I feel like those are deliberately not shown. In fairness, I've seen Shapiro do that. He seems to pretty much give what he gets. Someone like Charlie Kirk or Crowder are just trying to make them look and feel stupid, which isn't productive to anything positive.

Yes and no. His intentions for being there showed premeditation and the situation he placed himself was moronic. However the incident itself was clearly self defense.

yes and no. there is plenty of objective truth that people foolishly think is opinion-based. that's kind of the point of debating.

I disagree with that being the point of debating, but I'm also dubious of most peoples epistemology in this day and age. I think most people think their instagram feed is giving them objective truth as well, so I take it with a grain of salt.

I think this is 90% of the problem with political discourse today. Not a single person will ever think that they believe something to be true that is actually false. It's always the "other side". Theres little attempt to root your beliefs in truly, objective, empirical, information, and it's very common for people to believe the other side is guilty of this and they are not. But its also something you cant convince anyone of.
