Opinion Is Sam Seder the best debater on the left?

Idiots posting in the wrong thread again. You walk into a crowd with an AR15, people are gonna hit the deck or rush you. It’s called fight or flight. He instigated everything that happened and that was his plan. You bring a gun into a crowd of people and you immediately escalate the situation. A civilian’s history or background is irrelevant and not grounds for being shot at or killed. People use that same argument for why it’s ok that that cop murdered George Floyd.
No, but seriously, post all of this "new evidence" you believe has been released since the trial, that confirms his guilt. That was your original defense of your braindead take.

C'mon now, surely you weren't just inventing some shit in your head. Let's hear it.

There were multiple other people at that Kenosha protest with guns. The guy who attacked Rittenhouse on tape was clearly mentally ill. It's all on tape dude.

I don't know how you can argue something that was clearly shown on tape to be self defense.

Listened to a bit of him and wasn't particularly impressed. His temperament is good but he's nothing new or particularly interesting. As far as people who label themselves "right" or "left," he's probably more reasonable than most but it's still annoying to listen to him attempt to explain everything within the context of his ideologies.

I don't know why it's so hard for people on either side to admit their side makes mistakes.

Also, I'll reiterate that the PBD Podcast should be put down like a rabid dog.

You truly know nothing about the Rittenhouse case. You should stop pretending you do. You're embarrassing yourself.
Walking into a crowd with an AR-15 is legal in Wisconsin. Doesnt look like you actually watched footage or know what happened. Nobody hit the deck or rushed anybody for carrying a legal firearm. wtf are you even talking about?

His plan was to be threatened by a violent criminal, be assaulted and chased, and then use his firearm when his assaulter got within melee range of him while shouting "You're dead" and attempting to grab his firearm? Foolproof plan.

This will be derailment, so feel free to bump up the Rittenhouse thread with whatever "new evidence" you're alluding to that's better than actual prolonged video of the entire night leading up to and including the incident.

That court case was a sham.
Let's have a little chat when he's back in court for his wrongful death lawsuit.

Completely irrelevant because the actual incident was all on tape.

RIttenhouse was the one chased and attacked. The guy reached for his gun trying to pry it out of his hands. Then the other guy attacked him with a skateboard and also tried to take his gun. Then the third guy pointed a gun at Rittenhouse.

They were the initial aggressors the entire time and it's ALL ON TAPE.

Yup. Literally exactly what I said it would be. Something he said or did elsewhere at a different place at a different time. All you're doing is showing you dont know how self defense works. Everything we need to know is on video tape. Literally all of it.

I also like how the history and background of the attacker is meaningless, but we can go into Kyles phone and look at text messages he sent days prior and make judgements due to that.

"Debates don't serve to figure out what is the best idea or what does the evidence say. Debates are fundamentally rhetorical contests about who's better at debating."

The shittiest debates really do play out that way. When both sides are 100% truthful, it's more of a good faith argument or a discussion than a debate. Charlie Kirk ends up with egg on his face quite often.

Lmao at the maga dorks who followed me into this thread to dogpile.

What did he make you feel bad about?

I've heard him go full retard on several subjects - trans athletes, claimed there was no immigration problem, blamed Kyle Rittenhouse, etc.

It's like he is believing in flat Earth and argues that position well. I don't give a shit how well he articulates the position - I still know he's full of shit.

I agree with him on a ton of stuff. I don’t share his position on trans athletes. Or at least I haven’t heard him say anything that persuaded me to think differently than I do about it.

Do you have a link of him saying there’s no immigration problem?

Google it. He has a political show where he's probably talked about it thousands of times by now. I'm not doing homework for you.

I have no problem doing the homework. Thought you might have it handy. I’m assuming you meant illegal immigration.

I believe you're mistaken here. Crowder, Shapiro, and Charlie Kirk built significant careers debating college students. Additionally, The Majority Report gained a substantial number of new subscribers following Sams Jubilee appearance.

I think this approach could work well for the left, as they often have the advantage of facts being on their side.
I didnt say you couldnt make a career of it, just that I'm not sure it achieves very much electorally.

I think people like Sharpio going after collage students probably helps the right more because there viewed as "liberal elites" rather than "men off the street" plus I think the right benefits from having an anti establishment candidate who can feed off of public anger far more than establishment dems can.

The problem as well debate wise is that the establishment dems have so little to offer that they can only focus on attacks, if someone like Sanders was running for office you could potentially do debates were voters who are more undecided but maybe mildly Trump can be basically shown he doesnt have their interests at heart and that progressives have far more to offer them.
