Ideally, not until they're adults. Sopranos is all sex and violence. My favorite show ever but thats pretty much what it is. Death metal and other dreary depressing shit I don't really want my kid listening to it at all. I always hated the image when grunge was big too. Kids are pretty impressionable.
 
I mean yeah, most new rap sucks now, but 90's Gangsta Rap is fucking awesome.

You keep going back to legislation when that’s not at all what I’m suggesting. I’m only criticizing the messaging. This is how it relates to the whole gangster, hip-hop culture, instead of glorifying men calling women bitches and romanticizing being some type of pimp or criminal, as a society we should frown on that type of mentality and try to change the narrative.

And yes, changing the conversation from oh it’s not your fault. You’re just a victim of racism and you have zero agency, to yes you can actually achieve great things with the right mentality and better role models.
