Social Is rap music degenerate? Yes it is

Hey don't insult shoes like that. Who needs Motown, timeless songs with harmony, good lyrics, positive or thought provoking messaging when you have Sexyy Red. Natural evolution, old people wouldn't get it.

Well, I made it to "tryin to get my cootchie stretched" and that was all I cold take.

Is religion degenerate because those that take part in it do bad things? Like genital mutilation, prolong slavery, and murder apostates…

You can play that same game. This is such a retarded thread.
- Theres more wars and destruction caused by religion, than because some paid actors cosplay as gangsters to impresssionable kids.

Rock with those retarded kids in mosh pits also sucked!
Survivor and Bon Jovi> those drug-heads talking and yelling about some dragons in a devil dungeons!

There's some rap music I like, but most of it isn't really that great. Today's rap music is especially horrible and we have the Super Bowl halftime show as a recent example. Mumble rapping with autotune to basic ass beats doesn't do anything. I wouldn't say all rap is degenerate, but it's degenerate songs have the most success. Plenty of degenerate rock and pop songs out there too.

- They used to have lyrics, now is fugly guys with face-tattoos and horrible voices.

I got pumped when momma said i gonna knock out someone!;)

He’s just a sexually frustrated middle aged man that can’t seem to fix his own problems so he lashes out at everyone.

I hope he gets the help that he needs because it’s evident that those manosphere podcasts haven’t made him happy.
- Dad? Is that you?

You keep going back to legislation when that’s not at all what I’m suggesting. I’m only criticizing the messaging. This is how it relates to the whole gangster, hip-hop culture, instead of glorifying men calling women bitches and romanticizing being some type of pimp or criminal, as a society we should frown on that type of mentality and try to change the narrative.

And yes, changing the conversation from oh it’s not your fault. You’re just a victim of racism and you have zero agency, to yes you can actually achieve great things with the right mentality and better role models.
Look, there will always be influences that are bad in music. I glorified it as a teenager. I got laid and got high on occasion. The horror! I had a good system around me, so I didn't stray too far. I was lucky enough to not grow up in poverty. My best friend in HS was black, so we hung out in the projects a lot. I knew guys and girls that had addicted parents. Violence was a common occurrence. Was it because of a "culture" or was it because of a system that created the projects. I refuse to believe a certain race is inherently inferior, but that's just me.

I don't advocate that bullshit "it's not your fault" culture either.

I can get into rap songs if the beat is catchy and I can understand the lyrics. Unfortunately, the majority of rap music has neither.

Get in here racists! It’s a party!

- Lets be real. Athleast rappers could sing and flow. Now the industry is dead, music used to have a story. But the same happens to music here. I cant explain, we can find amazing singers on youtube, but the mainstream thing is awful.

OK, and you just described my teenage years as well, but we’re discussing whether it has a positive or negative influence and I think the answer is obvious.

I refuse to believe any race is inferior as well, I mean, I’m the father of a mixed race child and im married to a Cuban Latina, I don’t know where you would get the idea that I was hinting at any race being inferior.

This conversation is purely about culture, not the amount of melanin in someone’s skin.
