What is MMA Guru´s deal? He gets way too involved with the fighters and makes it personal

The highlight of his content is his reactions when fighters he doesn’t like win. Check out his reaction to Islam submitting Oliveira, guy was almost brought to tears.

He is a fairly direct speaking fellow from what I have heard, and a youtuber with a touch of troll in him who is cracking into the MMA journalist/youtuber scene. I am not familiar with that list of events or incidents you describe, but I have seen his videos from time to time and I previously didn't care for him but he's slowly growing on me.

Rule Number One : Never Trust A Guru
Rule Number Two : Never Forget Rule Number One

Being a hardcore fan and not a casual, or a journalist, even if educated, do not make you higher than others, you are on the same level than all, it just that for the casual it's the mist, and for the educated it's the sun's light.

Professionalism would mean to remain neutral in commentary and opinions, rather than taking side and getting too much involved emotionally.

Why does he have to be professional??

For who??

For what??

His unfiltered bias is part of the appeal

That's very true! Why does he have to be "professional"?
He does have to censor himself to an extent, but don't you think people should be able to say what they want to?
This is why fighter/exfighter podcasts are so bad these days. For example: Dominic Cruz -good fight analysis (except the recent Pantoja thing) but he has to "tow the UFC line" with everything he says. Bisping's podcast used to be good back in the day but I couldnt watch it now...he can't be controversial/say anything that people will jump on.

Not avoiding being controversial and trying to be controversial are 2 different things. Not sure why people are purposefully conflating the two, but it's usually because that person is an asshole who wants other assholes to live vicariously through.

I get that the social media age has some of you sad fucks jerking off to the memory of Ronda's "real mean vs fake nice," because you, in your stupidity, think everyone is fake so you glorify people for being "real" for not trying to hide that they're pieces of shit, but they're still pieces of shit, and frankly, that is a trait people should do less, even if that means you're think they're "hiding it." And as far as pieces of shit go, Guru is just another one that's too big to flush.

Good on the kid for making a great income trolling and talking shit but I cannot stand any of his content.

I know he's been on record talking shit about some fighter's kids/families and he may get knocked the fuck out one day if he ever comes across one of those fighters.
He never goes around the fighters he talks shit about. He aint fuckin dumb.
