I still don't really enjoy his fights, but he is probably the fighter of the decade and P4P #1. The UFC thought they were being clever by making him fight the toughest opponents, and now they have an unstoppable micro machine who has a better claim to P4P #1 than Islam at this point. The dude is even calling out people in the top 5 for shits and giggles. I am actually a little frustrated people still think Islam is above Merab for P4p where size means nothing.

JDM is really about the only male fighter with a chance of knocking him off if he can KO Islam before the end of the year. Wins over Islam and Belal would top Umar, Sean, and Cory. For me at least.

I expect Islam to win though making it an easy award given to Merab.

O’Malley is the absolute perfect matchup for merab. Sean loses 1000/1000 fights against merab. It’s a meaningless fight IMO, and doesn’t move Merab towards FOTY. Umar is a good win though.
