Is marriage really worth it?

It's not outdated at all. Practically a necessity for a healthy family. Kids raised by single parents are shown to be way more fucked up by kids without parents.

You can have a perfectly good partnership in a relationship without being married.

You can. However, in some countries at least, there are significant benefits to being married over simply cohabiting.

Identifying with millennials by admission?

Yikes.

Your friend is gay and knocked up a chick?? Props to him he's less gay than a lot of posters on here that never get laid.

Yeah, he's always been like that; he'll get a GF for a few months and have his active gay action on the side. He really wanted a kid, so he married this chick and they just had their first baby. He says he does want to stay married but I really doubt it will work.

Are you asking if committing to a relationship with one partner for the rest of your life worth it? Marriage is just a formality.

If I get remarried, I'm getting a prenup. If she doesn't like it, she can fuck off.
