Is Bo the biggest bust since Royce Alger??

Papa Abedi’s cigar shut down Sherdog.

A loss is tough, I’d say he is still a sold prospect behind Erick Silva.

I would tend to agree with you if Bo “got caught” by a punch or kick but honestly that was a total dismantling he suffered.
I disagree... he was very competitive while being tested.

If you're putting him on a pedastal, then yeah, he got taken down & challenged on teh ground, but he dealt with it.

Per my pov... This waz a fascinating fight until Bo took dat knee toward teh end... & then he got clocked some more while hazed.

That's all that happened. Neither fighter was dominant up until the end.

Royce Alger now there is a nice blast from the past.

It's my personal belief that Dana made a muti-million dollar bet with lorenzo wagering that dana could take any random ginger and make him UFC champion with clever fight selection and promotion; Lorenzo maintains that no ginger can be a UFC champ no matter how you skew the promoting and match making. I can imagine that dana maybe said something like "Gimme 20 years, And I'll make it happen."

Dana has already burned through Sam Alvey (he tried a LONG LONG time with this one), Shahbazyan, Spike Carlyle, Ed herman, and Paul Felder. Bo is his great white hope, and Time is very clearly running out as we can tell by how aggressively he's marketing Bo. If i had to guess, He only has about 1 year left to make a ginger UFC champion before he has to pay up.

Racist and unfunny is a shitty way to go through life.

People are butt hurt about Bo talking

But I think he just recognizes that this is a game where you need to promote yourself.

At the same time, if you're a fighter with skills, talent and potential, then you likely see yourself being a top fighter down the road.

So, you have the genuine belief in himself mixed with some added hyperbole.

Neither of which deserve much hate, it's just part of the game and people need to learn to not take that stuff too seriously.

In regards to his skillset and future, it's very rare for a fighter to be competing against the top 10-15 after 3 years in the sport. It tends to be a much longer, slower path.

Whether it's his camp, manager or his own ego, they should've probably taken the safer route. Takes time to be comfortable in the grappling, in the striking, taking a hit, etc. Some are natural fighters, others need more hours to build that comfort.

Overall, people are way too quick to judge a fighter off a single fight. Especially being 3 years into a career. A lot can change. There's a lot of variables to why someone might perform a certain way on any given night. Things can just as easily shift in the other direction, so you really need to analyze athletes over a longer period of time and avoid getting caught up in the only as good as your last fight energy.

He's been tested, thrown into the fire, humbled. Now we'll see how he comes back from it, that will be the true decider of how good he's gonna be as a fighter.

Similar situation that to Aaron Pico a few years back.

You could lose once

Even if you're Jon Jones

All of a sudden you were never that good.

and if you did anything to make them emotional like talk shit to promote yourself, they'll be the first to line up and say you were never that good, glad you lost, you'll never be this and that.

Doesn't matter what you say or do for these types of people, you won't be able to win. They're waiting in the dark corner of every forum, every youtube comment section, just waiting for the moment someone loses so they can emerge from the shadows.

Royce Alger was 3-2, 25+ years ago.

CM Punk was 0-1-1, less than ten years ago.

So there were already bigger busts than Royce since Royce.

He was brought in with great fanfare and promoted heavily by the UFC. And then he completely sucked. That makes him a bust.
He was expected to be promoted, bring in fans, and to suck. So...how is he a bust?

I dont think you know what a bust means in sports. CM Punk did everything he was expected to do.

Comparing him to Alger and Nickal makes no sense, unless people think WWE is real.

Like how you ignore Brock Lesnar's route to the UFC, there.
