Is Bo the biggest bust since Royce Alger??

Royce Alger was oddly proportioned.

There, someone actually talked about Royce Alger in this thread.

Bo got caught wit a knee, & will grow from teh experience. This over-emphasis on that happening is obviously due to the hype that was behind him, but these collegiate wrestlers know how to learn & come back. Their workload growing oop is engrained in them.

So lets not make definitive statements based on Bo'z 1st setback. Fair enough if it happenz again fairly soon.
Wrong, how impressive did Bo look in his wins vs Cody Brundage and Paul Craig? Guys that were put on a platter for him to look impressive…

Answer: NOT VERY.

Also he was backed by Hammer House and made out to be some freak, country strong wrestler that was going to be the next champ.

Yeah no.

I'd have to review those fights as they are not fresh in my memory, but Bo's potential is still strong. Being "caught" by whatever... is not the end of the road for him. His Collegiate & Freestyle records were not untainted, but he learned & came back, just as he will with this.

I don't like Bo, but I would hardly call him a bust yet.

Cejudo got smoked by DJ in their first fight, then lost a decision effectively killing his hype, at least momentarily.
He came back, beat DJ, and went on to have an all star career.

If Bo comes back and gets 2-3 impressive wins, then wins a title, no one will call him a bust.

Not the same scenario here. Cejudo beat some very good fighters in Formiga and Cariaso a former title contender. And the loss to DJ was in a title fight. Cejudo already reached the top of division and was in the top 3 rankings. Bo just lost to #13 in RDR, who is very good, but not quite top level in the UFC yet.

Not disagreeing with you on these points.
Here's the greater point- Nickal lost one fight. If he comes back, wins a few in a row, especially against solid dudes, no one will remember that he lost this one fight in shitty fashion. See my previous point about Islam. Does anyone remember that he got flatlined by Adriano Martins, a journeyman? No.
If Bo recovers and goes on a tear, he's not a bust. If he continues to win some, lose some. Yes, he's a bust.

I would tend to agree with you if Bo “got caught” by a punch or kick but honestly that was a total dismantling he suffered.

Non-casuals will know…

Discuss.
The person he lost to is a sleeper animal that many UFC fans were not aware of. The guy was a champ and Bo just net a buzz saw. Nothing to be embarrassed about

Bo looked like shit in his last 2 fights actually.

He's not athletic or explosive at all and he's 29. He's never going to proceed much more. He was a hype job being fed cans from the jump.

Too early to tell he needs atleast 2 more competitive fights.
