Media Is Anthony Smith Better Than Jon Jones Anywhere?

He probably has more power. He has good size, chin and heart. I think it'll be pretty competitive.

Something tells me Smith will pull it off because no one is expecting it and I expect Jones to eventually have an off night.

If he has punch power he'll crack JJones chin, if not he will lose. Somebody with KO punch power will break that chin which is pretty hitable in close range. Somebody like Rumble or HW's will crack that chin and bye bye JJones and retirement... Thats why JJones never jumped to HW.

Pretty much the only area of the game where any fighter at LHW is going to have an advantage over Jones is boxing. That's about it.

Distance striking, clinch, wrestling, ground/submissions are generally always going to favor Jones or be a moot point in the context of the actual fight as a whole.

Cormier hits pretty hard though and Jones received some of his best shots in close range and he didn't even flinch. Boner Jones at this point is still unstunnable. Maybe someone the likes of LHW Rumble or Ngannou could crack it, he was losing his balance a little when Machida counter punched him and that's about it.

Here is a like for all the images and gif work.

The boxing thing didn't work too well for Gus either though.

No real advantages, but I've seen crazier things happen. Smith feels like a relative unknown still, which is weird since he's had a lot of fights. This is to say it wouldn't absolutely shock me if he really impressed people.

Jesus Christ this is prize fighting, who gives a shit if they are great human beings? My role models are not people who step into a cage to try and knock each other out. With that being said, BLESS GOAT JONES!
Me. I like great human beings no matter what they are doing. If everyone in the sport was a piece of shit I wouldn't watch any interviews or be a fan of anything beyond the actual fights.

But that's me. Everyone's different and that's a good thing.

Better at looking like a nazi skinhead

Better tattoos

Better at not pulsing

"Sport '. Nice joke. That's a good one.
UFC is all about Promotion and lots of other P words:
Pictograms Pulsing Perilously Punishing Punching Professionals
Good catch, but I still object to these fighters putridly painted pictorialized parts.

Jones is too smart of a fighter for Smith to realize his only chance, which is catching him hard in a scramble and following it through to a finish.

Some kind of capitalizing on an chaotic moment is Smith's only realistic chance. Hes not out-skilling Jon anywhere.

Chaotic moments def happen in fights, I just see a very low probability not only of it happening, but of Smith being capable of taking advantage of it.

One thing Smith has going for him, and it's not nothing, is he literally has nothing to lose. He is expected by all the tuned in world to get tortured for however long Jon wants and then going to the hospital.

No I don't think so, I think even the power might be in Jones favor. Smiths last 2 KO's were some of the chinniest dudes in the div, where as Bones knocked out iron chin Cormier and Gustaffson.

Although I think Smith is one mean bastard and does it better than Jon. If he can somehow some way drag Jon into a war Smith could take it. I'd give Smith a 50/50 chance in a war against anyone in the division, it's whether or not he's skilled enough to drag someone into his world and make them fight his fight.
