Blue Eyed Samurai was awesome. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Probably the most graphically violent anime I ever scene, most graffic nudity sex scenes in a non porn anime I seen and one of best visual animes I ever seen up there with DS and Arcane there. Story isn't bad either on 3rd ep n hyped for rest Most enjoyable anime since Arcane for me

Yeah, and Marvel & DC have multiverses in the comics. Doesn't mean they don't completely suck.

I think Kirkman mentioned there was only going to be 6 or 7 seasons, of dozens of arcs spread across 144 issues in the comics.

So they're picking which arcs to adapt and which ones to drop. This multiverse arc is one they should have dropped.
I think the concesus from comic readers is you can't skip the villian due to his impact on the overall story. But I haven't read the comics so I can't say I have an opinion on it.

Powered thru the 1st season.. I dunno, ‘The Boys’ does pretty much everything better than this show. Not sure I’ll bother with the 2nd season here

The new season is such boring generic trash. You can sense in 10minutes that all that was available regarding creativity went into the previous content.

Play instead the new visual novel game "The Invincible" after a Stanislaw Lem sci fi book. Much more interesting than this.

I think it's just a slow set up. Hoping it will pay off. Next episode is supposed to be awesome.

sherbrah, try Blue Eyed Samarai. I haven't seen yet will watch over holiday but everyone I know who likes anime says it's the best they have seen (if you ignore some "messaging"). They said it blows Arcane and Invisible out the water. You need your anime fix maybe try that (it's on Netflix).

I'll check it out.

I really enjoyed the first season. Watched the first episode of season two and the atom eve origin story episode and I’m really disappointed. We waited almost 2 years for this? It’s generic and frankly was kind of a slog to get through. I don’t think I’ll continue to watch.

It looks like business is about to pick up with the 4th episode.

The first 3 reminds me of Game Of Thrones and having the reaction of 'well nothing much happened in that episode' but upon rewatching knowing what happens next they were 'laying the groundwork' for major events.

By themselves, they're pretty weak episodes.
But by the end of the season, they'll be viewed more favorably.

Yeah, it's not the viewers fault, but I feel like streaming and the ability to binge have made it very weird in trying to find the right pacing for seasons since week by week release make slower pacing feel eternally slower than if you could just watch them all in a night and move on without waiting.

To be fair to the writers/producers, the 1st season was released as a whole - all at once - so that's probably what they thought how the 2nd season would be released.

Not a great excuse, but its additional context.

And another thing to consider - Nolan/Omni-Man - may be the real main character. The show has became 'meh' without him in it.

MK1 has Omni-Man aa a guest character, and not Invincible.

Come to think of it... the 1st season was so gripping because of Omni-Man and the mystery of why he murdered the Justice-League ripoffs.

Yeah, I doubt the writers have a lot of say in how a season is released, they probably don't even know at the time of writing whether it will be all at once or weekly. It's just an interesting wrinkle in how we review or perceive TV, kinda like listening to just radio singles versus an entire album cover to cover in one sitting.

It's also hard to top the season 1 massacre as a hook to reel in viewers for a season unfortunately. We'll see how the season develops now that Omni-Man is back in play maybe.

Perfect analogy.

It's also hard to top the season 1 massacre as a hook to reel in viewers for a season unfortunately. We'll see how the season develops now that Omni-Man is back in play maybe.

That's a great observation.
And there's been no 'hook' whatsoever in Season 2.

With season 1, we knew we'd figure out why Omni-Man murdered Justice League. What we didn't know is how we'd figure it out... and it lead to Omni-Man's origin & confrontation with his son Invincible.

With Season 2.... I have no idea what its leading to.

I'll marathon this on my day off with a 12 pk of beer. I am finishing the new season of upload
