Pretty respectable insufferable list you have there.I like izzy but last night was WAY over the top and just a horrible look. As far as being the most insufferable on the roster he doesnt even come close to guys like Jones or Connor. Actions > words in my opinion. Izzy certainly has some mental problems, but until he starts assaulting / beating up women or old men, crashing cars, etc etc. He will never be above connor or Jones on the asshole list. My list in order would be Connor, Jones, Izzy/Strickland, Colby, Sterling.
Say exactly what DPP is guilty of. I keep getting “look it up” but I can’t find anything of substance. Say it
I love when people give you ultimatums in debates like this. “You can only believe these two things that I’ve lined out for you, otherwise my argument falls apart— now pick one.”well that tells you something either everyone is racist , or perhaps, heres a novel concept, Izzy was out of line...
Even worse than Conor?
Can you imagine how devastated Izzy would be if he lost to DDP? China might have to disown him.
Bingo. Any other time they are complaining about how society is too easily offended. Yet for some odd reason this really has their panties in a bunch. The irony is that most all the people who are all upset and clutching their pearls about what Izzy said are the first ones to call people snowflakes for being offended by words and also more than likely they use the N word with the hard R on a daily basis.

After last night Izzy holds the title for the most insufferable UFC fighter on the entire roaster for me. Like a friend of mine said, Izzy always seems to be having an identity crisis, he's fake as fuck imo. Here's to DDP shutting that dude up.
Interesting side note for people not in the know: Izzy had servants growing up. He actually had a "personal bathing servant". It all totally makes sense now imo, mystery solved. Lol
Well technically he probably hasn’t descended from Africa originally. But at the end of the day that really has nothing to do with being African. In fact from what I hear there is reverse discrimination in SA so DDP has probably experienced some of that I would imagine; this is probably why he called izzy out initially on not living in Africa Both sides should have just shut up but they didn’t and I’m kind of glad because I’m am probably a million times more amped for this fight than I would have been without it…
I took it as DPP saying we are true born, bred and trained African champs. If DDP said he was going to be the next African champion, no one would have cared. He probably would have been embraced by all of the other African fighters in the UFC, short of Adesanya (for obvious reasons). But instead he decided to say he and his training partner were the only ones who were “real” Africans, and put himself above people who are African nationally and ethnically (which he’s not). It’s just severely lacking in logic and clearly meant to stir up controversy. He’s getting the controversy he asked for, but now playing the victim which is extremely cowardly and lame for a grown man to do.

In reality, it’s not “everyone.” Maybe a majority of people. But even if it was everyone like you’re saying, that’s just an appeal to majority/belief. And what Adesanya did is not out of line and pretty standard for fighters who don’t like each other.
If DDP takes the belt to Africa and gets a custom African belt (like Yair's) it will be a great moment in MMA.
That's a lot to ask, but it would be amazing.
I know he had a privileged life growing up and I'm not too fond of the dude either but this has got to be hyperbole, right? ... right?
It's still a mystery, but it could be a true mystery.![]()
DuPlessis doesn’t get to define what African means and change the rules to suit him and invalidate the people who came before him. Especially if he’s only “African” due to nationality, and the country that makes him so is a British colony and the least culturally African on the entire continent.I took it as DPP saying we are true born, bred and trained African champs.
more than Izzy or Marty in the sense that he is 100% based in Africa, unlike other two who left as kids and were raised, educated, trained and housed overseas.
I took it as DPP saying as it relates to MMA, he is more African based than the other three who don’t reside or train there.
“We breathe African air. We wake up in Africa every day. We train in Africa, we’re Africa born, we’re Africa raised, we still reside in Africa, we train out of Africa. That’s an African champion, and that’s who I’ll be.”
Maybe let’s define what “African” means in this context.
I am pretty sure Izzy is the source and that he has come right out and said he had servants growing up.
It means exactly what it says. All right, so that I can respond to this. What exactly are you trying to prove with this information? What are we equating having maids to? There are Americans who have maids, and Arabic people in Muslim countries who have maids. What does this mean?
It means exactly what it says.
Izzy said he grew up with servants.
Fun fact I suppose if those are the options to choose from.Ok and? Is this part of a greater point? Or just a fun fact?
Anything to add to the actual discussion?Fun fact I suppose if those are the options to choose from.
It's a thing izzy said.
Just facts sir.Anything to add to the actual discussion?
Asking what a person means isn’t having an emotional reaction. Why do you think that?Just facts sir.
If you choose to have an emotional reaction to them that is on you.
