Influencer Vitaly to spend at least 2 years in Philippines prison

Jesus Christ, dude. You're coming into a completely different thread and bringing up Trump. Go to therapy.
its related man. this guy broke their laws and you feel sympathy for him... do you have the same sympathy when we break our own laws and do the same to another human being?

if not why not?

haha, I just saw this because of yall. Caught my curiousity.

That's my neck of the woods, BGC... I'm there weekly for work & to shop/eat.
Was in Boracay last week... as well. You can mess around in Boracay maybe a bit more, but to be that stupid in BGC, is criminal. They don't fuck around in that place. Foreigners or locals.

This guy is fucked. I've lived here since 2018, & is pretty easy to not get in trouble here, but make sure that I stay out of trouble.
It's not like in the US. Some things you can bribe out, in his case... he's super fucked.
He's an asshole & not smart to be doing what he did, but I feel bad, because this Marcos administration is going to make an example of him.
Gotta be hell atm, is 110+ farenheit & no ac, crotch sniffing in jail would suck. He also is getting extra attention paid for gov or not. Looking forward at best, to 10 to 20 years more of that hell.

I saw he was in Shangrila BGC, I'm there quite abit for meetings.
Nice hotel good food. BGC is one of the more aesthtic luxury parts of Makati; 2 bedroom Condos are $1.5m USD starting; they are going to protect that. He did his thing there is his biggest mistake. He & local help set him up for doom. He was gonna get in trouble either way, but he chose the worst spot to do stupid shit.
Now he gets 3 meals $1.25 or 70 php a day in jail.

You can fuck around in some parts, provincial PH, to a smaller degree without issue; doing so in Metro Manila/Makati in a business/commercial hub, that is prized in Makati... is the worst idea.
He can do stupid shit in other places, like Angeles, but you can't do that in business/luxury parts of National Capital Region.

I recommend travelers to just to stop by, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Surigoao, El Nido...business in Makati/Manila & so on.
NCR is a different animal.
He's done.
I almost feel kinda bad.
Not so much this...

Dude is an idiot. Is a a place you can have a good time, like anywhere else, if not set on destruction.

I'd take this dude that offered him advice, out for drinks... he's on point imo.

looks like he got his warning and didnt heed it.

Is there a foreigner prison there? This looks like a giant chicken coop

if that video is accurate I would rather spend more time there for the same crime than less in an American prison. I could even be happy in that place.

It's not sympathy. You have an inability to be honest about what people say in addition to your unhealthy obsession with Trump. This is not a thread about Trump. You are not well. I'm not gonna derail this thread any further.

hypocrisy and cowardice noted.

Heading to the Philippines for 2 months for work on Monday, so Ive been watching a ton of content both from locals and expats on the "dos and don'ts" and this guy popped up, the consensus is that he is absolutely f**ked.

You have to be an absolute moronic clown to do the stuff he was doing in a country where the court backlog is 1.5-2 years, meanwhile he will be stuffed in a tuna can cell with 20 other dudes with 0 privacy before he even gets sentenced, with some stale rice and a boiled egg for his meals... im sure it was worth the clicks. 🙄

Hey I'm traveling to the Philippines soon, can you give me some feedback? Best places, etc. Any feasible hypotheticals where I might not be able to get back? Barring of course acting like a retarded streamer

if you feel like they should not follow their own laws in detaining this man how do you feel about the trump admin breaking ours in deporting and imprisoning people without due process?
You must be great at Thanksgiving.

"Hey can you pass the salt?"
"Yes but did you know that salt prices are going up because of Trump's tariffs?"

Good idea hope he gets 20 years out of this at least. He tried to kiss and put hands on people. Then he was being a asshole.

Then if he was an America I hope he would get 50 years and dies in prison just for embarrassing us.

It's about fucking time one of these "pranksters" got what was coming to them. They'll stop when they quit getting away with it. That's the only reason it's a phenomenon that's gone international. Even other countries treat these pieces of shit with kid gloves.

Bravo Philippines! May you be the shining beacon in the darkness. Follow the light.

Yeah, I get it. Im only familiar with him from literally this thread. I assume hes an incredible douche. But I dont think his life should be ruined for essentially being deliberately annoying.

I do. Right now there are thousands of jackasses running around making money by being complete fucking douches to others and filming it. And the reason they keep doing it is because the risk/reward ratio makes it worth it. A couple of these clowns spending a few years in deplorable conditions seems like an excellent rebalancing of that risk/reward ratio, and might give a few others pause.

His whole life won't be completely ruined. He will get out in a few years and likely be a shell of his former self, and have to start over. We'll see if it changes him.

Sounds like a tool. But potentially 30 years is ridiculous. Even the 3-4 years to wait for a trial is kinda ridiculous for what he's doing. Yeah, he seems like an annoying asshole, but sharing some of the worst cells in the world with a bunch of murderers is a bit lopsided.
I'd agree the time is a bit harsh for the crime but it's likely a net benefit to society as a whole as it will serve as a lesson to other influencers and maybe just maybe they will be marginally less annoying. So one influencers freedom is a price I'm happy to pay for that.

This isn't thanksgiving... It's the war room.

Mayberry is over there snowflake.

Agreed. May other nations follow suit. We need to be much less tolerant of the troll industry in general.

Nuisance content creator Vitaly went to the Philippines to annoy people while being filmed

he's basically just like Johnny Somali with his content

He got arrested and now they're making an example out of him. This isn't Korea. Philippines is a 3rd world country and has some of the worst prisons in the world

Even after the arrest, he was still trying to annoy everyone and he thought they'd just deport him

But they're not fucking around over there

He could be fucked. Philippine President Bong Bong Marcos already commented about him.

And for those who do not know. Bong Marcos is the son of the Former Dictator President Ferdi Marcos Sr. who declared Martial Law for 20 years.

Its like doing some stupid things in Chile and the current President is the son of Augusto Pinochet and now he hates you.

But I support Marcos here. No to nuisance bloggers anywhere ever.

Yeah, but they're saying it's potentially 30 years. It's something like 2-3 just to get to sentencing. I understand why there's a certain schadenfreude about it because of what he does, but there's a limit to what should happen to someone who essentially presents no danger and didn't actually harm anyone.

If he gets 30 years, I would not begrudge anyone pulling out some picket signs. But that has not happened yet. My guess is he at worst will do a few more beyond the 2-3 years it takes to get to trial, but most likely will be released for time served after the trial. At which point he will most likely be sufficiently cucked. And I got no beef with a couple years.

Shit Man, It will be a monumental effort for someone used to living a comfortable first world life to come out of 2-3 years in those conditions emotionally unscathed. I hope they drag him out in 6 months so we can get a look at him then.

I would also not be surprised if he were quietly deported after 6 months, depending on how many friends he has and how rich they are. Think about how much you might be willing to fork over after 6 months in those conditions.

Sure, but the damage is also another aspect. This is not an environment thats going to benefit anybody, obviously. We know even in the states a couple of years can change you, and not for the better. Suppose he comes out of this a worse person, maybe even more violent. Whats the benefit?

There's a lot of conjecture. Admittedly, I don't know the specific charges, but he's obviously an ass and no one is really gonna feel sorry for him, myself included. At the end of the day, I don't see why he did anything that would make him share cells with murderers. I get that people can feel a bit happy about it because of who he is, but personally I don't know of it would be justice.

That said, if it turned out he did something like acting as if hed grab a cops gun or some shit, my opinion would change dramatically.
