That and a lot of other stuff, eating curry and spicy food that makes my nose run. It's as big a compromise to me as telling them to eat a cheeseburger, only they don't see it that way. It does cause issues because I know they won't do the same percentage of compromise for me. Feels disrespectful or rather, like they want everything their way, which, yes, bothers me. No relationship is all one way no matter how much people try to make it.Taking off shoes in the house is a cultural compromise? WTF lol.
A lot of Americans and Canadians also take off their shoes in the house.
I don't do those and some people might have a problem with those things like taking their shoes off. Especially older people more set in their ways. And yes, sometimes, back when I did moves for people, going in and out of a house 50 times, it didn't matter whether they were american or whatever, that'sa pain in the ass.
