In what world does Khalil Rountree deserve a title shot?

It's almost as bad as getting getting a draw then having a NC when you deserve a DQ then beating Walker and thinking you deserve title fight

They gave Ankalaev a title shot at UFC 300 and he pulled out.

Ank called out Pereira for Abu Dhabi card late in Oct. And this was before Pereira fought Jiri for the 2nd time. Pereira will have fought two times before Ank will have fought again. Now Ank gets his fight in Abu Dhabi..

So, because the guy who fights the majority of his fights in the USA called out a guy for a fight in Abu Dhabi means he will ONLY fight in Abu Dhabi rather than fight at all? I don’t get the math on that

I really don't think it's as simple as protecting Poatan here. There's more to the story that we aren't privy to.

It doesn't matter where he's fought the majority of his fights. He's opted to sit out of most of this year and has constantly asked to fight on the Abu Dhabi card.

He didn't want the UFC 300 fight. He's missed chances for sitting out most the year. Now he's missing out on another title shot for wanting to be on the Abu Dhabi card. Simple as is.

I think we know... And maybe that's just it. We know it's a fun fight, solid matchup, but there's clearly a guy ahead of him
 
Is a bit ridiculous. But the only real challenger calling for the fight in Abu Dhabi, didn’t work out obviously.
