The man ALSO took a completely different and more dangerous opponent on 12 days notice. I'm sure his initial gameplay was completely scrapped and they had to come up with something on the fly. For him to overcome that and win is pretty impressive. You guys think because Usman has dropped his last 2, he is old, shot and was never your friend. He was beating Leon in the first fight until the Hail Mary kick. And is arguably the welterweight goat. So give Khamzat some credit. If you expected Usman to be a walk in the park, your IQ is around room temperature.

I don’t fanboy over Khamzat like many here do, but I don’t particularly dislike him either.

This was an impressive win to me. The negative comments are coming off as tired and bitter.

He does still have a lot of questions in his game though, his striking defense in particular.

Usman won 3-0 against a ATG who was champ 2 fights ago. His stock went up

When you act like you're immortal but show that you are, in fact, just mortal.

Then people can/will doubt your immortality.

Khamzat earned a tough W against a game former Welterweight champ.

However, with his performance, you can expect all the lions, tigers, bears to smell the scent of blood in the air.

The wolf isn't the only hunter in this world.

I’m not seeing the hype with Khamzat. He’s a great fighter and possible champion in the future but he struggled greatly with Burns and Usman, no shame in that, but with Usman being a short notice replacement and debuting at MW I expected a more convincing win than that. He’s not the monster that sherdog makes him out to be. Is he one of the best MWs? Absolutely. Did Usman impress me more than Khamzat? Absolutely.

Well said. He says he's going to kill everyone, so when he comes up short, it looks bad. The first round was dominant, but after that he looked pretty normal.

Khamzat struggled against a bloated WW with no knees on 2 weeks notice

Khamzat has actually regressed since the Burns fight

Struggled?

He spent the entire first round backpacking the fuck out of Usman when Usman was at full stamina.

He didn't get cut. Took no damage. Wasn't knocked down or stumbled. Literally at no point in this fight was Khamzat ever in jeopardy or under threat of a finish.

Where did he struggle?

I agree but his gameplan stays the same always

It consists of smesh people make some money and be happy

Because people aren't giving Khamzat the credit he deserves.[/QQUOTE] I yhink most people have called it for what it is, looked great for a rnd, then fell off and took a pedestrian decision. He looked gun shy on the feet and shot desperation TDs from the outside then was happy to try and ride the rnd out.

Impressive 1st rnd not so impressive fight.

Come off as a good guy during his interview.
