Leon Edwards
- lost to Belal and Sean Brady
- weakness was wrestling / takedown defense

Cyril Gane
- lost to Ngannou and Jones
- weakness was wrestling / takedown defense

I see that Leon was training at AKA in 2015 with Khabib, Islam, Cain, Rockhold, DC.
If Leon trained at AKA for 10 years from 2015 - 2025, would he have lost to Belal and Brady?

Khabib invited Gane to Dagestan to train, "2-3 years and forget" as they say.
He declined. Then lost to Jones. Was there anything Gane could have done to become a world champ?

I think Gane and DDP both went to the same school of takedown defense.

I think Gane would be a champion if he went to Dagestan for 3 years.

I'm not sure about Leon. Belal is a hell of a wrestler.

Leon's defensive grappling was enough to nullify Usman which means good enough. He needs a good sports psychologist. He's a complete headcase and probably a gym darling which is it's own can of worms. Cyril is a family man first, fighter second. He was never going to Dagestan lol. I think it's a shame given his talent but I appreciate that he's honest about fighting not being his life.

Leon maybe but Gane was doomed from the start.
