If Jon vs Alex at the White House happens, there needs to be a title involved…what if Jon comes back down to 205?

Just going through the scenarios in my head
Dana keeps complaining about Pereira coming to HW saying Tom is too large. If Jon comes back it has to be enticing, like the White House card is, and Id be assuming a title is. Problem is he vacated the HW Belt so Alex moving to HW for a Jones fight really doesn’t do anything for him except make him have a larger disadvantage than he already has fighting Jon anyway.
What if Jon were to come back down and go for Alex belt at 205?
He ducks Tom, Alex gets to fight Jon for a Belt (and a belt jon never lost where Jon spent the majority of his GOAT run at)

I do think it’s ironic how someone who Adesanya basically brought in as his main rival has now taken the sport by storm and has outgrown his feud with Israel and has gotten enough good achievement to give Jon Jones a reason to want to fight.

That being said I’d still rather see Jon vs Tom (but only if Jon is pulsing and has hookers, cocaine, no drivers license, and a CSAD TRT/HGH/EPO Medical Exemption since USADA isn’t there anymore)

We never know, No older brother Jon Jones might just come back to fight Tom just because his brothers untimely death may remind him that he only has one life to be great in, and to honor his brother who can’t compete anymore he goes for it one last time. A siblings death has to significantly change a person. I was joking at first until I remembered his brother only recently passed away.

co co main event - mcgregor vs machine kelly ( head coach m.chandler )
co main event - jones vs pantoja and merab
main event - trump vs joe biden and camala harris

This miraculous transformation is going to happen in 6 or 7 months?

I doubt Juicehead is ever making LHW again. Dude looks about 8 months pregnant lately.

The whole point of Alex vs. Jones would be that it's the biggest fight the UFC can make even without a title on the line, which is a good thing because allowing Jones anywhere near a title fight would be completely crazy.

Dude was 248 for Gane. 237 for Stipe. Who knows what he weighs after riding scooters in Thailand and dealing with the death of a sibling. He’s either really heavy, or he stopped bulking and may be closer to 220-ish and within striking distance of LHW.

I really don’t think a title is necessary. It’s Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira at the White House (potentially with McGregor on the card).
You could call “The Battle for GOAT Status” or any corny shit you wanted, it’s gonna draw half the world either way.

They’ll probably fight at “heavyweight” and both guys will weigh in the 240’s.

A “superfight” doesn’t necessarily need a title on the line & this probably counts as a superfight

There was talk of GSP vs Silva at 180 lb catchweight & I don’t think that ruined the appeal of that one either

That said Dana feels Jones made a fool out of him with the Tom fight so I could see him forcing Jones to fight at LHW just to fuck with him

Jones never really bulked. At 237 he was distinctly flabby compared to his rehydrated 225 or so at LHW. Maybe he tried to add bulk and failed, maybe he never really tried, but he certainly never succeeded. He also used to get that kind of flabby out of camp all the time; he's no Paddy, but he did enjoy some food and booze when he didn't have a fight signed. He's older now, so maybe he can't just diet it all off as easily in camp as he used to, but he also never had anything resembling a difficult cut to LHW, so if he were actually interested in fighting again and in making the cut to LHW--he almost certainly isn't--he probably could, whatever he's weighing these days.

But if this fight happens it should definitely be a non-title HW fight regardless. It would be a prize fight spectacle, not a normal part of UFC competition, and there's no reason to make anyone cut weight for that.

Not allowing Jon to fight on the White House card would be good business for the UFC. Just my 2 cents.

Jones at 205 😛 I don’t think he’s making that weight again.

I still want Alex to be the one to KO Jones and fight him last before he's really gone. Alex can fight Tom after that. Jones is a sport killer who ruined many events. Alex is a sport savior who saved many events. It would be poetic justice to see Alex sleep this cheating scumbag. No close decisions that Jones can be gifted anymore, Alex can flat out KO him once and for all.
