I was against Pereira at HW but...

I'm torn. On one hand I do want to see Pereira vs Aspinall, or Pereira vs Jones for the interim heavyweight title. I'd love to see Pereira get a crack at being the first UFC fighter to win belts in 3 weight classes.

But I hate all these potentially inactive champions. Volk hasn't fought in almost a year, Topuria will fight god knows when, Islam will probably sit out and cherry pick a fight he wants too, Khamzat 185 pounds speaks for itself, and now Pereira wants to fight at heavyweight rather than defend his belt... and Tom is out.

That's literally every single belt from 145 pounds to heavyweight that maybe will be defended once over the next year, not counting interim titles? Shit is looking grim.

Right? I mean in some ways the UFC is backed into a corner. People are going to be pissed off no matter what fight is booked. Funny thing is I don't remember this happening back in the Chuck Liddell days. It's really bad for HW because the guys fight 1x a year and that's "active".
Ya man, it is sad & unfortunate for the HW's. It's probably the worst HW has ever been. & I mean ever. When ppl talk about how good Tom Aspinall is, to me, no matter if he is really one of the best HW's ever, he'll never have the evidence to prove it because of the talent pool & shallowness of the division he's in. The best thing the UFC can do is just make fights happen at HW. At some point, the HW division will get better, it might just take awhile.

Gane has upped his Jones-inspired Fight Plan -

Cerrial employed a pirate's fingering obsession, Eye Eye Captain Tom.

Make the Jones vs Gane Poke Off Match.

You want tom to go blind dont you?

Jon might just start training with the 3 stooges with the recent info available.

Or with Primus, to time his eye-pokes with some serious thumpin' bass lines.

Robelis showed him a thing or 2 in spar Perrera dont have the power for true HW punch
