If Fedor came to UFC instead of Strikeforce, would he have had the same losing streak?

If he'd gone straight to the UFC in 2007 I think he would have still been a title threat.

But as far as 2009-2011 UFC goes? yeah hes probably not gonna do any better than he did in SF. Both companies HW divisions were in relatively strong periods at the time.

He was very battle worn by that stage and the UFC had some big hitters all close to their prime at that point. Cain JDS and Carwin would have just had to land a couple hard ones and Fedor's small body would be stanky legging all over the cage unfortunately.

He should have been fighting Barnett for it to be a fair fight for example but Dana hates fedor and hates nostalgia too. :D

I'd imagine they feed him mir first
Fedor murders him
Then brock
Fedor murders
Then Shane or Cain
Fedor does not murder either and likely losses to both.
So no, guy apparently gay for Fedor
Not that there's anything wrong with that

GSP retired on December 13th 2013, with 27 total fights at the age of 32, and an 11 year career.
Fedor lost to Werdum on June 26th 2010, with 34 total fights at the age of 33, and a 10 year career.

Athletes typically slip around the mileage range Fedor began to slip. It's normal. I always use this example to help people out with the concept of athletes peak range:

Usain Bolt, to this day, still holds the 100m men's track world record. He is still, unequivocally, the fastest human to have ever existed on this planet running a 9.58 second 100m sprint at the age of 22. Nobody has come close to beating it.

He became the fastest man on the planet in 2008, and lost that notoriety in 2017 where he was no longer the current fastest man on the planet but still held the record from his youth. Bolt's career as the fastest man on the planet lasted 9 years. Around 10 years is the typical length every elite athlete can maintain that level of greatness. It's just how the body works. At some point you simply aren't the best in the world at what you do anymore, even if literally nobody has come close to you when you were at your absolute peak (like Bolt's 9.58s 100m record).

There are outliers, but around the 10 year mark of elite competition is about the time when all elite athletes fall off. It's unrealistic to expect more than that.

So weird how you just left out GSP's actual last fight 4 years after that where he moved up a weight class and successfully won the MW title.

Sure it was just an honest mistake though.

At that time, he would have lost to those fighters. He was out of his prime.

In his prime, he would have made easy work of those guys, like he did everyone else.

Yeah people are just straight up being dishonest if they think he wouldn't have been champ in 2007. After Pride he beat Arlovski and Sylvia. The only better fighters in the ufc at that time were Nog who he'd already beaten twice, and Randy. And I don't think Randy would have had much of a chance.

Now around 2009-2010 there are more guys I could see beating him, he'd slowed down a lot by then.

Yes, Fedor's time was up, he was still in his prime but ran into a new era of evolved heavyweights. He was an overrated relic who could really only beat one dimensional HW's, as he never beat a well rounded great HW ever in his career.

Bud, you need to take a break from Fedor. This doesn’t seem healthy.

The most hypocritical statement in sherdog history<36>

i don't know why so many people think he beats Brock but definitely loses to Cain. Cain has shit striking defense and Fedor has big power and fast hands. i think he'd have beaten Cain and lost to Brock although i could see a path to victory for him vs Brock. i think he'd lose to JDS but i think he has a path to victory against JDS just a lot less likely than the one vs Brock.

Nogueira and Heath Herring were well rounded.

Brock had poor defense and tended to go absolutely ham with his gnp. Fedor was always calm under fire. Look at the beating he took from Bigfoot without getting knocked out. I think Brock would have got subbed or reversed.

yeah i said i could see a path to victory, either by submission or TKO when Brock curls up, but i could also see Brock pancakeing his hips with his enormous size and strength and just doing what he did to Mir. i think Fedor would beat Cain because Cain likes to strike and that's dangerous vs Fedor plus Fedor has the explosiveness and grappling knowledge to escape clinches.

He fought a guy that was older than him, fought longer than him, and had more fights than him.

He specifically came out of retirement to fight Bisping, and only Bisping.
It was a farewell bout against another guy about to retire (Bisping retired a couple months after the bout).

Sure it could happen, but the only person Brock ever did that to was Mir after that ill advised knee when he was against the cage. On an open mat he wasn't all that great at holding people down.

Uh huh. The guy who spends his life crying about Pride has found his voice apparently. Lol at now following me around in every thread after I embarrassed you.

<36>

Are you ready to respond or are you still too scared?

Imagine being called a cheater in a competition where PED's are legal

You know what, I was wrong. You did in fact take a break from your Fedor obsession.

It's when you cowardly abandoned him for many months after his retirement loss to Bader while Jon Jones universally took over his GOAT title with his HW title win. You couldn't handle the bullying I put you through.

You tried to quietly sneak back into sherdog, hoping nobody would notice what you did. Untill I caught you with your pants down today and left you so humiliated you're hanging on to every single word I say now<36>

My words will haunt you forever, kid.

There she is. Glad to see you found your voice sweetheart.

As for all of that nonsense, I’ve been on Sherdog the entire time. Jones apparently fought last month. I can’t have been away for “many months.” I know you miss me even when I’m here though and want to create fairy tales.

What’s that? Ah yes...

We both know you over-compensated today buddy, nobody is buying it. We can see how much it affects you. You didn't expect it, because you slowly creeped back in but not all-in right away hoping it wouldn't be noticed.

Untill I caught you with your pants down today<36>

I never would have guessed that the biggest Fedor fanboy on the site would cowardly abandon him in his retirement fight, just because he got beaten down in a minute by a LHW and then Jon Jones took away his shine forever. You let everybody on here shit on your hero and you hid away in fear, lurking in the shadows. Not even defending him. A shameful disgrace. Atleast some stayed and tried, where were you, coward?

Scared of being clowned and bullied by the likes of me that's where. You will never live this down because I will forever remind you of your dishonorable abandonment of Fedor. That's all you're getting today untill next time, Judas. You will wait for the next round of abuse like a good little lapdog

Jesus that is a wall of anger.

No one’s reading it dumbass. You’ve had a big day of looking like an idiot.

Go tell your parents about it.

Fedor was past his prime and those 3 losses were flukes anyway. Hendo was juiced and it was stopped early. He would’ve beat Werdum if he didn’t jump in his guard and Bigfoot was also juiced and it ended due to a doctors stoppage.

Fedor beat plenty of ufc heavyweights which proves he would’ve been dominant in the ufc as well
Excuses never end. Fedor was Juiced to the grills like everyone in Pride because of non existence of supervision. And no having a belly and not bodybuilder body doesn't mean you don't take steroids if it's not your goal. Henderson is 6 years younger than Fedor so the after of his prime is just ridiculous . He lost because Fedor is the greatest overrated fighter of all time and he got exposed once he stopped fighting freakshow performers
