I understand your point of view. The thing is, I don't give a shit whether Hollywood have been doing it for decades. Like I said, I don't think it's right. But just because they did it in the past doesn't mean they should continue doing it in the future just to compensate.
I already told you where I stand. If they are going to change a character, might as well name him something else and start a new franchise.
I have no problem with Hollywood releasing more and more movies with ethnic minorities and women in the leading role. Just create a new character, make a new movie. That's it.
But they lack creativity and instead of doing that, they will change an existing character to appeal to a new group of people.
Again, I know they've been doing that for decades but I wasn't around during all of those decades. Just because i'm bringing it up now doesn't mean it's because they are doing it with white people.
I will still watch a new bond movie no matter who they decide to cast, I just don't think they should be messing with characters like that. Same applies if they release a new Blade movie and decide to cast a white guy.
