While I was rowing 3 guys got into the squat rack. now my stuff was right next to it. I knew one of the guys from years ago (and haven't seen him in years) and then he was.....lets say feminine about things. Well, they start practising ass to grass squats. Up until that point I was going to politely ask them to fuck off. So my order of things was off. I wanted a triple at 72.5 for OHP, but couldn't get in there fresh.

[email protected], last one was a struggle, [email protected] which had some leg drive but lock all was all arm, then again [email protected]. Last 3 inches or so was tricep, but shoulder were fucked. It was effectively [email protected], but i've broken it down. No rest between each rep, just reset and go. The last 2 reps also involved slow lowering and a attempt to keep arms at parallel for as long as possible.
Kept volume low because I wasnted to try for a triple. But I was too fatiqued after preious lifting

This was basically setting the bar in the squat rack at where my arms were parallel to the ground and pushing to lock out. Each rep would go back into the rack and the srain taken by the rack and then another rep. Will go heavier at these when I'm used to the awkward body position at start

Did it on a hang over aswell. I must say, there is like a 3:1 girl:female ratio in cambridge. Some very yummy girls out, and the uni has closed for the summer. God knows what its like during term time

Actually the ratio is fairly constant, the uni students get replaced by language school students, great if you like foreign chicks.

Some of the rookies had a interclub there and I went along to help out (well, I did go to watch, but I always jump in and get my hands oiley). Then that night we went out and I got trollied (club twenty two?)

Your only like a 45 minute drive from me

Tried for 1@90, that fucker almost went the first time, then staller, tried for a 2nd but couldn't get anywhere near the first. Weight started to just feel heavy. Went for 85 and I fought the fucker for about 4s at parallel. Couldn't lock it out. Tried 3 more times but couldn't get it. GAY

Yeah, i've been here since before I took my GCSEs, was too lazy to go anywhere else. Degree's done, graduating at the end of the month, Army in september.

So going to make the most of the summer then I take it.

How long you being army boy for, min 3 or going to wing it and see what happens?
I'd try and stay in if you enjoy it enough, working for the gov def has its perks.

If by 'make the most of summer' you mean help my family move house and spend all my time running then yes.

I've got a year at Sandhurst then 3 years service as a minimum, no idea if I'll stay in after that, will just wait and see if I'm still having fun. after three I'd be a captain anyway so i could rock an eyepatch and wooden leg so there's not much extra bonuses for staying in.

I'm 21, turning 22 in a week or so.

Trust me mate, put off the real world as long as possible. Its boring as arseholes. Although a wooden leg would make you more interesting :P
 
I think the wooden leg might be an unfair advantage in the martial arts. Provided that it's the typical pirate "amputated just below the knee" wooden leg, then ankle locks on that side become useless, checking kicks with that leg is a breeze, and kicking with it becomes damn near lethal. If it isn't already in the rule books somewhere, it should be: no artificial limbs in kickboxing, sambo or MMA. :)

I get that a lot, my Sambo coach used to ask people to guess my age after they'd trained with me for a day, they'd generally start in the mid-20s and go up when told they were wrong (I was 14 at the time).
 
I'm the opposite. I tell people I'm 28 and they call me a liar.

Bacon-when I finished uni and started my old job at a college, every thought I was 28-30....I was a few months into being 21
