Ian Garry is a perfect mix of an amazing fighter that's also really boring to watch. It makes him look worse than he is at times, but I have to admit he is elite.

We've seen Garry point fight for his life twice now - first with MVP and then again with Prates.

Prates for his part did not yet have this type of experience. In a rematch, its a different story.

The most hilarious thing in all of this is that Garry lost to a point fighting Shavkat. Absolutely delicious.

The motherfucker went the distance with Shavkat. Way above "decent". People hate him because his wife is a hoe and he's boring, but his skills are undeniable.

Garry isn't bad, and I don't really see anyone arguing that point. His problem is that he's boring AF, he fights JUST BARELY GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN and that gets him decision after decision. Additionally, he's already lost to a top 5 fighter, and he split decision-ed Geoff Neal. On top of that, his private life, which he makes incredibly public is embarrassing for a male with any level of testosterone in his body.

Even his fight with Shavkat where he lost 3-2 was impressive. Shavkat had finished everybody within 3 rounds up until that fight.

Gary is very good at spoiling. He's mastered the art of fighting without fighting. Hes a good defensive fighter

Ian Garry is a pretty good point fighter.
He plays the "MMA is a sport, so I need to game it as such," while dudes like Pico think they can BUM rush an undefeated UFC Champ contender and get away with it.

One step towards greatness is realizing that the "puncher's chance" gets slimmer the higher you climb the ranks.

Garry has amazing physical traits for the division. He's tall, long, strong, and fast for the division. Similar to Paddy Pimblett at LW.

Neither are the most talented skill for skill, but their physical traits are hard to overcome.
