Ian Garry = BARELY won against Neil Magny

Ian Garry's performance against Neil Magny was lacklustre. Here's why.

Garry couldn't finish a one-legged Magny. His "kicks" were really just >>>foot sweeps<<< that did NO damage to Magny. A fight is all about damage, and if this was a street fight - which is the purest form of fighting - Garry would have lost, MISERABLY.

I don't agree that Ian "beat" Garry. Magny did not have a full training camp. Garry did. In a rematch, the outcome would be **catastrophically** different.

When Magny did land significant strikes, they were crisper, fuller, juicier, more plump.

Out of all the "dominations" I've seen in MMA (been watching far before UFC 1), this has got to be one of the most MISTERleading.
There was no mma before UFC. What sort of Sorcery are you talking about?

Ian Garry did look like shit against Magny. He had a one legged fighter the entire bout and never tried to finish outside 10 seconds in the last minute of the fight. I thought his stock went WAY down with that performance.

i personally try not to invest in a lot of the personalities in mma as it tends to ruin my appreciation for the skills some of these guys possess. I Garry's case it was damn near impossible. I just didn't like how he chose to promote the fight.
That being said, the man stated he was going to dominate and did exactly that so hats off to him. Solid style with more arrogance than half the roster combined so i hope he looks back and makes adjustments at the mic.

So many colours in one topic.
Colorful like our newest striking genius and champion.EPIC.
Next time try adding more fonts and maybe more font sizes.

what are you trying to say?

I think Garry basically carried him to decision like he had a bet riding on it or something. Maybe he just wanted to get him to pay? I don't even think it was killer instinct but he doesn't much of it as is. He deliberately let off of the leg to try and get a standing KO up top. A guy from the audience probably could've smacked Neil's leg a few more times and won with a stoppage.

Garry has no killer instinct but he methodically broke down Magny and offered him not a second of offence. Magny is the ultimate gatekeeper so for him to show absolutely nothing for Garry is a big deal.

The real eye opener will be Wonderboy.. I hope he takes that fight. Garry is annoying cocky kid but he's definitely talented with a high ceiling at 25 years old.
Correction: Magny USED TO BE the ultimate gatekeeper. The guy is 36 and hasn't beaten a top 10 opponent is years. I actually like Magny, but he's clearly not the same fighter he used to be. And he's certainly not the gatekeeper he used to be. He's been relatively washed for a while now.
