I have a solution for the battle between the moderate and progressive wing of the Democratic party.

Obamacare was already fucking us before Trump ever got elected. I think you are being way too trusting of our Govt. on UHC. I admire you guy's motivation behind why you want it and I respect that. I just don't trust our Govt. not to turn it into a constant money grab like they do with our Schools. My Property Tax bill has numerous add on taxes that are for our Schools and yet... nothing ever improves. Next year there will be more. I don't trust them Franklin and based on what they've done lately they don't deserve to be. Now more than ever is a time for less Govt. not more.

How about something like Switzerland's healthcare system, where everyone is required to get private insurance and the government caps OOP maximums far lower than in the US?

There's a lot more than two "wings" within your Democrat party.

i'd vote for the bootyjudge.. maybe bernie or warren can be VP..

how tf is Medicare for All supposedly paid for by a 4% flat tax
when the CAnadians pay 7%

and we already pay 1.45% for FICA Medicare that does jack and shit

that sounds like wishful thinking

Well, so far, in Iowa and New Hampshire, if you tally the votes of the moderates vs. the "progressives" (socialism isn't what that used to mean), the moderate wing of the party is clobbering the progressives.

Buttgieg, Biden, and Klobuchar's totals indicate what many have been saying for years; the only electable Democrat is a more centrist Democrat.

I think Biden, Buttgieg and Klobuchar's politics are relatively reasonable (even if Biden is a swamp monster).

If Buttgieg wins the nomination I'll vote for him. Otherwise, I'm standing on the sidelines again.
Are you planning on voting in the Democratic primary?

You guys could always move to Venezuela and show us all how awesome Socialism can be.

I think Bernie could really turn that place around.
Yeah, let's talk about Vuvuzela as if Scandinavia and Western Europe doesn't exist.

the problem with the democratic party is they have no foundational ideas as a party

they are essentially the party of

open borders
government mandated healthcare
high taxes
abortion

I'm not allowed to in my state.

I've said that I'll vote for Buttgieg in the general election if he wins the nom. I think I could bring myself to vote for Biden, Klobuchar, or Bloomberg, too, despite that there is a lot I don't like.

Warren and Bernie don't have a shot of winning my vote. I might even consider "evolving" my views, like some in here have described their 180s, and abandon my #NeverTrumper status if one of them is the candidate.

Yeah, closed primaries are a bitch. I always wanted to stay independent but was forced to become a Republican in order to vote in the primary in Florida. I don't see myself voting for anyone but Bernie. Maybe a third party candidate depending on who runs. I live in a "safe" blue state now.
