Hyperbole but Khamzat may just be one of if not the best wrestlers in MMA.

Now I know this is always easy to say after a victory and to say that DDP was never good, but legit I think Khamzat is one of the best wrestlers ever in our sport.

DDP is no joke he’s a black belt in BJJ and thick as a oak tree yet he was manhandled from start to finish.

one thing that separates him from other wrestlers is the sheer tenacity he displays, once he’s lock onto you there’s no escaping it seems.

The only thing that didn’t show in this fight was GnP which is true but Kham is more of a submission guy anyways.

it’s amazing how he flows from one dominant position to another like he’s a featherweight.

Anyway I’m probably just hyped from the fight with recency bias but I’d like to see how he would stack up against others.

No question Khamzat is amongst the best, I think it was clear even before this fight. Extremely high level

Oh, he absolutely is. No doubt about it. But holy shit I'd hate to be trying to figure out how to sell his next fight. Maybe send him to Uncle Chael and try to teach him how to sell wet blanket fighting with his mouth.

Certainly up there... Hopefully he doesn't just rely on it and become a boring decision machine from here.
I don’t the he will.

DDP has pretty good jits and defended the chokes well but normally Kham can go in double leg and choke out just about anyone.

Not hyperbole. In mma history he is easily top 3 and possibly #1. No one at mw is going to give him a tough fight because of his wrestling and how elite it is. Fluffy honestly is probably his toughest fight and I don’t think fluffy wins more than one round if that against him. Khamzat striking is average or maybe slightly above average, but he doesn’t need to strike because his wrestling is so elite and no one can stop it.

With prize fighting it is very true you’re only as good as your last performance in the eyes of the fans.

I think eventually he might strike more in his fights just to test himself, but he doesn’t need to. He is so damn elite at wrestling and no one can stop it. If you wanted to be a Dominant champ and go in a long maybe historical run for wins why not just use your elite top tier wrestling that no one can stop? Make it easy on yourself.

I think Khabib had the better technical work but no one can deny Khamzat's exposiveness. He has the weight transference down and good timing but Khabib was so methodical that the finish became inevitable.
