Ok Ok Ok , Mr. Seymour Hoffman got KO'ed in the first round of action quite quickly... Sorry for the mismatch... Here it is folks, a fight I think everyone has been clamoring for... Hopefully this will test DDL's tenacity. Daniel Day Lewis Robert De Niro Lewis Top 5 Performances My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown In 1989 Day-Lewis
DDL. I think Robert De Niro had a great start but some of the movies he's done in the last 10-15 years have been absolute shit. I'm pretty sure De Niro wins this but I've never been a big fan.
You guys please let me know if you like the additions in the interesting facts section and if you want to become a pro. I will no longer be doing DDL after this battle, he seems to be Sherdogs love child. If he wins this fight he will be declared Greatest actor in Sherdog ever and retire... I know some of you wanted Gary Oldman but I just dont see oldman out performing De Niro against him. After this it will be a series of different actors each time with a few special battles in between with winners from different brackets. I will be doing different themed battles similar to how BJJ Ninja has themed movies. Thanks in advance guys!
A prime De Niro runs it close, but DDL takes it. Although one my favourite films is A Bronx Tale, directed by and starring De Niro.
De Niro in The Deer Hunter, Once Upon a Time in America, Cape Fear, and Casino were his better performances than Heat oh and De Niro
De Niro has done so much crap in recent years, it waters down his greatness. ........and he plays the same role every time, more or less.
De Niro by close decision. Nobody seem to give credit for De Niro performance on Awakenings. I tought it was amazing. Very moving and real to me.
DeNiro is the man and I give him a slight edge here, just so many of his movies are among my favorite of all time like Casino and A Bronx Tale so for me that gives him the nod.
DDL for sure...the guy is fucking amazing. Deniro is great too but is inferior here. Just not as well rounded. Also personally I would put his Cape Fear performance above his supporting Goodfellas performance in the top 5....he was a very memorable villian IMO
