He is 1 inch taller than Ilia. 3 in reach, but Ilia has slicker and faster footwork to negate that. Big time fan of both.

I think Dustin is a bit too old. Age, wear and even a small slowing of reflexes are big deals in the lighter weight classes. I'd like to see the Dustin who beat Max and Conor vs. Ilia. I think that was his peak. The Dustin who lost to Gaethje would most likely lose.

or
Ilia vs Charles.


I love Dustin but he is old and shopworn, been thru a lot of wars and camps and injuries.
Speed and reflexes not what they used to be.
Durability still seems pretty good but that Gaethje KO had to do a little damage, though he wisely took a long time off after.

Ilia is young and FAST.
and accurate and powerful, with great setups.

I don't see any 35+ year olds beating him.

Max is a better overall striker but a worse boxer, Volk is a better... boxer, maybe? But taking size and power into account, I agree: Dustin is probably the best boxer Ilia could face.

He just had a dog fight with Islam. I don't think Dustin has fallen off as much as some of these other old guys have, but yeah, he certainly had more pep in his step back then.

LW is kind of a wash at the moment outside of Ilia and Arman in my opinion. Paddy is an X factor I guess since he keeps winning, but I don't think he has much for Topuria. LW really needs new blood to break through
