How often do happy couples have sex? Less than you think.

Of coarse at the end of the day the key to the “door” lies with the women’s choice to have sex or not. Guarantee you if it’s up to the man in this marriage or survey they would want sex every day.
 
I fit into the happy couple group, married almost 10 years but the key for us is 2 children under 5. It's impossible to devote as much love and attention to each other when you have children. We average once per week but there have been times where once a month has been all we could do.

Slightly off topic but our 4 y/o busted us going at it a few weeks ago. I don't know how long she had been watching but my wife and I heard her sobbing at the doorway. She rushed over and gave us both a hug & gave me a filthy look. She'd had a bad dream and woken up. We managed to get her back to sleep quickly so hopefully she forgot about it. Kind of killed the mood a little.

At 39 once a week is about what I get and what I'm happy with.

I prefer it to be by appointment with the Mrs too, we get the time off work, kids etc and make an event of it. It means that the rest of the time neither persons nose is put out of joint feeling frustrated that the other ain't in the mood.

Straight up with you on this, I have two kids one 5 and the other 2 , by the end of the day between work and house work we’re both beat. Twice to three times a week is perfectly ideal.
