How good is that Rountree dude?

Honestly I've never seen him fight, I think it's because he hasn't fought any of the big dogs of the division and now they are throwing him to the wolves, damn

But I understand since Pereira is almost running out of challengers in that division already

But how good is the Rountree dude, has he crazy power? Is he like Romero was or something? How good is his striking technically? Does he have good ground game and if not can he hang with Pereira standing up?
He's powerful he's good but he's dirty and takes cheap shit to a whole nother level he likes to kick knees and almost ended a guys carreer with a kick to the knee as hard as he could making his leg bend the wrong way the kick would make lady boys throw up in their mouths.

Hopefully nothing freakish happens.

A decade in the UFC and still hasn't fought any big dog from his division, I saw his record and his best win is washed up Anthony Smith

No top fights for him before and getting a TS is crazy but at the same time like I said before I understand why since Pereira is running out of challengers already
I wasn't arguing whether he was a worthy title challenger or not, I am criticizing the mindset of someone somehow not being 'relevant' because some casual happens to be ignorant about the sport in general. There are probably dozens of other important fighters you know shit about, but that's more of a 'you' problem if you only ever heard of Conor or Francis. Roundtree isn't an obscure fighter if you're moderately invested in the sport, so don't expect anyone to take you that seriously if you need someone to explain that to you.

Khalil's losses are not a great look for him though, because it shows he could be easily dethroned/beaten by fighters who have no business being in the upper echelon, which in essence makes him a not legit champion even if he hits a home run this weekend. So he's probably going to get merked by Pereira, but it's still somewhat of a dangerous fight for Alex, simply on account of how nasty a finisher Roundtree can be. At the very least we're going to get a violent finish either way, even though it's an undeserved title shot.

Considering all the brain dead posts you make on this forum, the fact that you don't know who Roundtree is very telling

Maybe if he would have fought top dudes I would have definitely seen him. But if he has spend more of those years in the UFC fighting non-ranked dudes, don't expect me to know him like that
Well, I guess you're missing out sir, he's definitely fun to watch.

Rountree lost his father when he was young and he started gaining weight and he became a 300lbs loser who smelled funny in his 20s, then he almost died from a heart attack so he began training to lose weight, he became thick, solid and tight, and he finally had his first sexual intercourse at age 29 with a white girl named Stacy. He still eats fried chicken now but he prefers carrots and avocados

If you're not inspired by his beautiful story you're a very bad, fatphobic person.

Pereira will win.
i hate fat people. but he’s not fat anymore so i like him.

Very hard to miss him unless you are specifically refusing to watch any fights outside of the top 10. Which makes you an absolute casual.

He was a TUF finalist. His knockout of kickboxing legend Gokhan Saki was a big story. Johnny Walker got his hype train started by knocking him out cold via spinning elbow. Then he went away to study Muay Thai and came back Bangkok ready with lethal leg kicks. You must have been taking a break from this forum when those things happened because they were major discussion topics.

They tout him as "muay thai" but truth is he just trains it and is not super technical. He's more like a "polished" brawler with big power.

It's getting dangerous to be a low-ranked guy in the UFC these days.

He's defended against two top ten fighters.

He's a great non-wrestler. The best they could have found.

Also forgot to mention he lost to Jacoby but the judges gave Khalil a decision win. One of the worst robberies I’ve seen in a while.

A fairly technical Muay Thai striker with power. Fun to watch but does not have any really good wins and several bad losses that did not age well. It’s kind of baffling he’s getting the title shot.

But what are u talking about if he barely made it to the top 10 not too long ago?

Does he even have a win against a top 10 fighter right now?

He's defended against two top ten fighters.

Boy he already faced and beat the whole top of the division back to back to back besides that Russian wrestler

After Rountree, there will be 7 remaining top ten fighters he hasn't defended against.

The Russian isn't allowed to face him rn for whatever reason and the rest of them are either coming off a loss or doesn't have any top win either

That doesn't change the fact that the top ten is literally a ladder to climb to the championship. 7 fighters left to defend against, more if new blood enters the rankings.

He's never even fought a day in his life, he's a runner, he's Bangkoks biggest bitch!

Bro's pretty jack3d good fi him wonder wut app he use fi track his workouts 🏋️‍♂️💪🍗🍚🥦

Good striker, nasty power at times but not a top contender. It's a fight to keep Poatan warm, he clearly wants to fight numerous times a year.

Alex is fighting 3 times a year, not everyone he faces will be a killer. Especially true if he gets past Ank.

Similar to Manhoef in a lot of ways. Fast, explosive, insane power, good kicks, insane amounts of muscle.
Definitely not a boring fighter.
