How good is Joe Rogan at BJJ relatively speaking?

Let's take one scenario under UFC rules...

Btw, did you guys hear how disrespectful Cormier was about Anderson Silva before the match, dismissing his chances on the ground because he had no wrestling backgroind? Silva is a black belt in BJJ, which is why Cormier (brown belt) got nowhere on the ground ......
We're changing parameters now.

A wrestler who didn't take BJJ classes. Simple as that. Don't know anything about jujitsu. Would not Rogan submit such a person easily?

It's an odd question, but yes, he would submit him easily. Probably by some sort of guillotine choke.

Some black jijutsu grapplers would surely get tossed around by a random NCAA wrestler. But rogan has technique+ strength in jujitsu..

So far, I'm loving this.

If Joe Rogan had a bear in The Truck, and the bear was a purple belt in bjj, but didn't know anything about 10th Planet, could Joe Rogan finish the bear with a twister?

Why? The Gracies beat all wrestling challenges... And the Gracies are by modern comparison far from the best.

Because the question is hypothetical and has too many variables to consider when it's explored (even in a vaccum) .

Is the said wrestler same weight and age as Rogan? Is the wrestler more aggressive or stronger? How long ago has the aforementioned wrestler trained consistently? Does the wrestler watch MMA and has basic understanding of submission defense? Does the wrestler have Greco background? Is the match starting standing? Are strikes allowed?

You get the point...

And if everything (age/build/weight) is the same, and the wrestler knows zero BJJ, the wrestler will be submitted by Rogan pretty easily. But now we're just exploring BJJ on the ground vs someone who doesn't know BJJ... and we all already know the answer to that question.... and that is why your question is silly.

If Joe Rogan were falling out of a plane, and there was another sky diver wearing a gi, does Joe Rogan have the grips to be able to hold on to the guy and safely land on planet Earth?

Is Rogan on mushrooms at this time?

They start standing. I don't think it holds true for all BJJ black belts. I think a wrestler could slam dunk quite a few of them (even same weight category), so there would be no grappling on the ground to begin with.

lol....

But he would submit a NCAA Division 1 wrestler easily? Or what do you guys think?

A competent blue or purple belt should be able to submit any division 1 wrestler that lacks bjj experience.

After 6 months of consistent training, the wrestler should be better than most blue belts and some purple belts.

Ok, so Joe Rogan submits the evil-twin-Wrestler, unless the evil twin slam dunks the real Rogan.

Pretty much. That's the only thing a pure wrestler could hope for. They don't know shit about grappling for obvious reasons.

Agreed. Bas Rutten actually puts his money on a world class wrestler with a basic understanding of grappling vs world class BJJ black belt. But only then... He was asked the question BJJ vs Wrestling.

Great, glad we're on the same page. Now next time, please take a page out of @Nnedd book when asking questions about hypothetical Rogan match ups.

If Joe Rogan and a 39 year old ex D1 wrestler were sitting in chairs, back to back, and you yelled "Go!", who would turn the corner first to score the takedown?

The ex D1 wrestler had knee replacement in his late 20's, and Joe Rogan is fresh from a cryogenic chamber therapy.

Plot twist! They are also under water.
