How excited are you about Gable Stevenson?

Pretty interested in the UFC signing him and building him.

Absolutely no interest in anointing him the next coming of Fedor or anything, but yeah, down to see what happens.

Let the chaos begin!

10/10 excitement level for him to enter the UFC HW pool. Guy has all the makings of a future Goat. I don’t give af if I eat crow on this one lock me in for the mother fucking HYPETRAIN CHOO CHOO MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!!

:meow:

So if i go out to bar, and I'm drinking with a girl, and she agrees to come back to my place, i manipulated her into sex and raped her because she's unable to consent? Are you actually fucking stupid?
If she claims she was raped after and you come to court saying this poking out your chest yes Sir they will hang your stupid ass. You deserve it for being a dummy telling others that sex with a drunk woman that you really don’t know and don’t have a provable relationship with is ok. I wouldn’t feel bad for you. Prisons are full of stupid people that didn’t understand the law and still want to act righteous after doing something stupid

So, how excited are we about Gable Stevenson?

I remember a while ago Henry Cejudo transitioning into MMA. I don't know if you remember, but there was a bit of hype around potential Cejudo vs Abas MMA fight, which never happened.

And there were guys like Askren, Hendricks, Cormier, Romero, and so on, debuting, and obviously none of these guys have perhaps visibility that Stevenson does.

I know Hendricks had ugly MMA wrestling, but he had a beautiful wrestling on the mat, but I digress. I think Askren always had ugly wrestling in and out of the mat lol.

It's funny, because we always had and will have people reminiscing about the past, but without any bias, i think it's absolutely true that, we have seen the best that MMA has to offer. I think we've seen it all. I think I was more excited about Judo vs Boxing, Nishijima vs Yoshida, in 2005 or 2006, than most of fights that happened this year. If you haven't been around to follow the sport, I mean, you didn't miss out on anything in hindsight though. But it still was better but if you missed it, well you just missed it.

When it comes to Stevenson, I feel like it's rare where I watch people on tv and impressed by their speed. Sure, some flyweight guys, or some freak of nature like Manny in boxing, and so on, but it's fairly rare. But Stevenson looks like he has very fast shots, and I don't know if anyone at hw can stop that at all. With his age, he's probably the best wrestling prospect we've seen, especially with his athleticism.

But he doesn't seem that interesting nor exciting. I don't know. Maybe because we've seen all we could see up to this point. Or maybe it feels like he's just getting shoved down our throats right now. And really, he's been taking Ls left and right before coming into MMA. Couldn't cut it in WWE, couldn't cut it in NFL, even lost to a younger guy in arguably the biggest upset of wrestling history. It all has been Ls, Ls, and Ls, before finally deciding to transition over.

Let's not forget that he's training with Jackson. It's obviously debatable how good of a coach he is, his prime years are past him, but it's also undeniable and we can all agree on, he tend to pump out boring fighters with boring game plans, so there's that as well.

All in all, I'm about 3/10 excited about Gable Stevenson. Yeah, he is probably the best wrestling prospect we've ever seen. I'd still rate Pico as better prospect, but he's arguably the second best prospect perhaps of all time. But, MMA is sorta in the gutters. You get guys who suck like Paddy and O'Malley get titleshots purely through cherry picking, when there are plenty guys outside top 50 who could run through them, easily. ( I said this when O'Malley was a champ so not abandoning that shitty badnwagon of his.)

Just wondered how excited we all are about this guy.

Excited enough to correctly learn his last name.

Steveson not stevenson.
Your welcome.

in general I would say it would be 8/10 but considering he is a hw and the depth Hw has he is 20/10, amazing addition to the hw division just a matter of time before he gets signed.

Is it fair to say that he has more natural athleticism than any heavyweight presently in UFC HW?

Doesn't mean he can beat them of course.

I hope he’s the savior of mma or the next Greg hardy.. one of the two

Yes, because the talent has to be worth it to get past the fact that he's a d-bag in his personal life, like his mentor. If he's just a shitty person and a shitty fighter, then he’d better get KOd a lot and viciously.

I dunno man, Pat Berry used to do pretty nice flips in the cage and that guy sucked hard.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say a solid 9. I just hope he get a little bit of time to develop his mma arsenal before he fights the killers.

As much as the...

nah I'm not about to finish this (just like...)

Maybe a 6? Because HW sucks.

But this is his 3rd choice post wrestling career after washing out of football and pro wrestling. He is all for it now, and doing great, but how does he react if it stops being easy? In the WWE he hit a ceiling, and did nothing to push past it and just gave up. And that is pro wrestling.

I will wait to he beat some legit competition.
Sure dude got the wrestling and is at HW, which pretty much means a fighter is 1-2 fights away from a title shot since that division sucks donkey balls.
But again, fight a few legit guys (ranked) and we will see.
Hopefully he is all that and then some...

TS can't even spell his name, lol, and made a big ol thread

He's a 10/10 prospect but the division is still weak AF.

Mostly I hope he inspires some of his wrestling rivals to chase him.

huh? King Mo was a highly successful fighter.
Oh yes, don’t get me wrong here. He was a damn good fighter but had his share of bad losses against good but not great fighters like Emanuel Newton, Feijao and left mma with 4 Ls in a row. In no way comparable to DC’s career. Dude only lost to 2 all time great fighters.
