It's definitely possible for Gable to beat Ngannou, but more than likely Ngannou's experience helps him win the fight. And if Gable gets brutally KO'd, that could destroy his confidence and momentum.

American wrestling gold medalist with KO power and hype surrounding him. Plus he’s 25 and even if fighting cans his transitions and cage awareness shows a natural aptitude for fighting. A prospect like this VERY RARELY comes around especially at the most talent thin division (HW) which should be the premier weight class in combat sports. The UFC could theoretically sign him and bring in regional level guys for one off fights against him on their cards (they’ve done this many times in the past to build prospects). This is a prospect opportunity that only comes up every 5 years or so they need to lock that shit down. Also mother fucker is extremely athletic. “A” level athleticism is thrown around a lot on these boards but he is just that .

This fight makes no sense at all.
It's a lose lose fight for Francis since winning would means nothing and losing would means that he can't do this anymore.
Gable either needs to fight more against subpar competition (yeah cans) or get signed to a big Org so he can fight... more against subpar competition.

Why is the UFC not signing Gable yet… I would hate to see the best HW prospect in many years end up signing outside of the premier MMA organization.

They want him for cheap. Most likely 3-4 fight contract with increasing salary. Meanwhile Gable mostlikely want insta payday.

He almost certainly signed on with the UFC after the first LFA fight. They'd be locking him now so PFL can't get him, and having him get some more exp before bringing him in.
