Only tried the barbell hip thrusts a few times and hated the setup, so never continued. However, I've recently started using a hip thrust machine at the gym and my glutes are blowing up way more with that than any other exercise. Definitely helping my deadlifts as well. Bridging also really opens up the hips for me, safe to say, I like the exercise a lot.
