I think you are right about social media. The roots are in tabloids and shows like the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Celebrity lifestyle used to be mostly aligned with the upper middle class. Now people are shown the opulence and try to imitate it and one up it

exactly. it seems so simple. I have a business with about 1300 clients, more than half under 30 years old, I just don't recognise all the shit that I get told 'the generation nowadays' are supposed to be like.

Easier in what way? To me it seems girls have their own hangups exactly the same way guys do. You can argue that girls don't have to approach guys but they never have really and if guys have got worse at approaching girls then that's not really the girls fault.

For sure, that didn't help at all. And I just touched on a few issues that social media is causing. There is a plethora of problems stemming from it. I fear for the future, and I feel very fortunate to have grown into adulthood when I did. I feel badly for young people today.

Women's criteria's for a companion from millennial to gen Z are completely delusional.

I've seen a video of young women with very average looks and no education say they won't date anyone who doesn't make at least 100k a year or who isn't at least 6 foot or who doesn't give her an allowance of this and that much. And that it's the very bare minimum in their eyes.

I don't know what happened, but the materialism and individualism is trough the roof. It's like looking for a an item not lifetime companionship.

Glad I got married back when I was fresh from university and had nothing back then. I know my wife isn't here for my money today. It's a positive we have, but we didn't marry for that.

Most ladies can literally do anything and have full support of most of the media and most of the online communities out there. Call for the death of men. Bang a hundred in a day. Say how horrible they are. Nothing(rarely) comes back. The opposite is simply not true. So if one is mostly given free rein to do whatever and have limited pushback, and the other cannot, that is a big pro for the ladies. Schools give zero thought on how differently boys and girls operate too, and that I constantly see over the last 20+ years of parenting. Again though, life is no picnic for anyone, so it is not like every woman out there is living the dream. I am certainly not saying that. I just believe anyone who looks at it reasonably should see it.

Not even mad or upset at all, it simply is what it is now. I did my part for the race, am celibate, and don't really care too much for the state of relations between men and women. Women have been slut shamed for years and men have never been shamed for sleeping with multiple partners. That's something I've always felt was genuinely unfair between how the sexes are perceived.

There is nearly always cultural pushback like this when 'one side or the other' either tries to push cultural change at too fast a pace, or hold back change that society is ready for. It's happened time and time and time again. Both sides are guilty of it. But liberals have not been doing a good job of reading the room for a while now. And unfortunately conservatives are taking things way too far in the other direction, which is basically physics.

I am a progressive at heart, but I'm patient. One of my favorite sayings is 'Culture changes one funeral at a time'. LEFT ALONE, culture will progress (slowly) towards more openness, tolerance, and freedom.
