Homegym MEGA Thread

Fathers Day coming up. Do they fuel your gym addiction with gifts or just give you goofy crayola card and clothes that don't fit?

You still in the market for a seated leg ext / ham curl machine? Or were just window browsing at stupid price hikes.
Think that was from an email and I was appalled at the price so I bitched about it

Good ole Titan marketing, jack it up 35% and put it on sale for 7% off.
Had one pop up in my email $6## on sale for $299 . Deleted it but just remembered you had eyes on one.

I’m in the running for a leg extension, hamstring curl, and functional trainer. This will almost complete my gym

Combo ext & ham?
and gimme a range on the FT. Have small time companies in my email all the time sending sales.

Separate machines. Selectorized. These are used from a hospital gym. Hoping the small number of bidders gets them all to me for 750 or less

Same here, but not sure on timing. I would need to kick my car out of the garage to put in what I want. I may do that.

Or just buy a house with a better basement.

If you're gonna splurge on equipment sacrificing floor space, The Isolator may be of interest. Does both of those features and 50 others mounted to your rack.

I was doing one of Brian's sandbag routines. 30 seconds on/30 seconds off. Take five steps then do three squats for eight to ten minutes. He wants you to do these with a sandbag that is your bodyweight. Hahahahaha. I used a 100lb bag and was sucking air by round three.

So pick up, walk 5 steps, 3 squats, walk 5 steps, etc for 30 seconds
30 seconds off
x 8-10?

That's one from his EveryDay Carry program? Holding your BW in a bag for 30 seconds is a workout in it's own. How you supposed to walk and squat it for 8 minutes

It's from his sandbag ebook. It's not been out that long.
Here's how Brian labels light, medium heavy.
Light - slightly less than bodyweight
Medium - bodyweight
Heavy - slightly more than bodyweight

Baby, momma , papa

BW bag gets heavy fast. It takes a solid effort to get that thing up and constant squeeze to hold it

That does look cool. I'd have to move my rack probably as I don't think I'd have enough room on either side where it is now. Same reason I never bought that gimmick that attaches to the rack to use for lat pulls and stuff from Surplus Strength. I also looked at this thing that attaches to the rack to do Nordics, but I think the feet (legs? whatever the things are called to keep the sumbitch from toppling forward like are on a 1/2 rack) would get in the way.

I really need a rich sugar momma to buy me all the things, but my dumbass is dating a teacher, so fuck me, right?

I've never used a sandbag, am I correct that you put smaller bags of sand in them rather than just pouring in loose sand? Or no? I'm wondering about the feasibility of changing the weight in one. My son is getting interested in training and wants to "get in really good shape" for fall ball tryouts, so having something we both could use would be cool.
