Holm's Camp turned down Cyborg fight at 198

I'm a big Cyborg fan, but I completely understand (and agree with) Holm not taking the fight. She is (correctly) focusing on trying to get a rematch with Tate.

Don't blame her or them one bit. She probably loses the fight and she can easily get another title shot without fighting that beast.

This is just typical Dana bullshit job. Match Holly up with Cyborg and if she loses,no rematch with Tate or Rousey just because

Holly said she would fight her.
Dana offers it.
Holly says no.

How is this on DW? lol

Fine ass?

Why would she take the fight and possibly lose her title shot while having nothing to gain from beating Cyborg.

I think she said this before a very close fight with Tate . Clearly she deserves a rematch with Tate. After that I am preatty sure she would fight Cyborg.

She did and I understand her saying no as well.
I just don't see how or why Dana is at fault for offering it.

Well, not the best look, considering her/their previous statements, but pretty understandable.
Another loss would be really bad for Holly right now.

And to be honest: I'd much rather see the Cyborg-Holm fight with Holly coming from a win anyway.
Plus 198 is too full for another big fight.

Holly wants to wait for a Ronda rematch once Ronda gets her belt back. It is a smart decision and ducking at the same time.

How you come to that conclusion when both HH & her Mgr said they want the next shot at Tate is amazing lol

Meh... She still has a chance at a rematch.

It's the year of the rematch after all.

Dana will do everything to protect Ronda from HH and Cyborg. Of corse he want Tate to fight Ronda next. And with HH vs Cyborg at least he does not worry about one or the other anymore, because he an eliminate one of them.

This was a win-win for Holly, even if she lost. She would have the distinction of 'stepping up' to fight Cyborg, before Ronda, AND a huge paycheck to boot. To be frank, with Cyborg's reputation Holly would not have lost much ground with a loss. I'm a bit bemused at her thought process and decision on this

Up until fighting for the belt, her career path has been very calculated. She built up wins over weak opponents and then got a title fight with zero top 10 wins. It makes sense she'd go back to being strategic after losing the belt. Don't forget she comes from boxing where she was known for handpicking her fights as well.

Many of us said it was Holly.

It made the most sense out of those 3 (Ronda, Miesha, Holly). Cyborg would not get immediate title shot (rules out Miesha) and UFC won't feed their cash cow to Cyborg (rules out Ronda).
It's been stated publicly that Ronda won't be ready to fight until Oct or Nov, so protecting the "cash cow" has nothing to do with it and is quite frankly pretty assinine.
